This study aims to analyze the impact of emotional labor on job stress and job satisfaction among workers in the foodservice industry. Additionally, the study investigates the influence of job stress on job satisfaction and verifies the mediating effect of job stress between emotional labor and job satisfaction. To this end, a survey was conducted among foodservice industry workers in the Busan metropolitan area, and a total of 240 samples were used for the analysis. Based on the research findings, first, it was confirmed that as deep acting increases, job stress decreases, whereas surface acting increases job stress. Second, it was confirmed that as job stress increases, job satisfaction decreases. Third, there was no relationship between surface acting and job satisfaction, and as workers' deep acting increases, job satisfaction also increases. Fourth, the reduction of job stress through deep acting partially influenced the increase in job satisfaction. These results are expected to help improve the understanding of job stress and job satisfaction related to emotional labor among foodservice industry workers.
