이 글은 김정은 시대가 3기에 들어선 제8차 당대회 전후(2019〜23)의 북한문학 동향과 쟁점을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 문예지 『조선문학』, 『문학신문』 기사를 분석한 결과, 최첨단 과학기술을 통한 ‘인민경제 5개년계획’ 성공과 코로나19에 대응한 ‘방역대전’ 승리 등의 쟁점을 확인하였다. 부조 시대와 차별화된 김정은 시대 문학만의 특징으로 ‘사회주의 현실 주제’의 강화, 인민생활 향상(애민)’ 담론과 청년 과학기술자 중시, 일상성 강화 등이 나타났다. 공업, 농업, 어업 생산현장을 재현할 때, 토건시대의 혁명적 열정만으로 해결되지 않는 최첨단 과학기술을 강조하고, 세대교체의 주역인 청춘남녀 캐릭터의 애정선 같은 미시적 일상을 중시하며, 등장인물 심리의 섬세한 묘사 등 문체도 변화하였다. 코로나19 팬데믹 시기를 관통하는 김정은 시대 3기 문학은, 김정일 시대 선군(先軍)문학론의 강고한 구심에서 벗어난 1기(2011.12.〜2016.4.)와 ‘만리마속도, 만리마기수’ 형상을 앞세운 2기(2016.5.〜2020.12.)의 특징을 넘어섰다. 새롭게 부각된 ‘과학기술 룡마 기수’ 형상은 토건시대 노동영웅인 ‘천리마 기수’나 무조건 하면 된다는 ‘선군 투사’와 다르다. 컴퓨터 잘 다루는 청년 과학기술자들이 바로 ‘과학기술 룡마 탄 기수’이다. 가령 박금실의 시초 「김철의 용해공들 속에서」(2023)처럼, 컴퓨터 제어에 능한 제철 노동자가 룡마 기수로 형상화된다.
This article analyzed the trends and issues of North Korean literature (2019〜23) around The 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party(2021.1). As a result of analyzing the contents of the literary magazine Joseon Literature and Literature Newspaper, the success of the ‘Five-Year Economic Plan’ through science and technology and the victory of the ‘Quarantine War’ in response to Covid 19 were confirmed. Kim Jong-unera literature, which is differentiated from the era of grandfathers and fathers, showed the importance of “socialist realism,” discourse on improving people’s lives, emphasis on young scientists and engineers, and emphasis on daily life. When describing production sites such as industrial, agricultural, fishing, etc., advanced science and technology that cannot be solved only by the revolutionary passion of the civil engineering era was emphasized. It emphasized micro-daily life such as the affection of young men and women characters. The style has also changed, such as the delicate description of the character psychology of literary works. The North Korean literature of the third(2021〜) Kim Jong-un era is different from the first (2011.12〜2016.4) and the second (2016.5〜2020.12) with the shape of “Mallima speed, Mallima rider” that deviated from the influence of the Kim Jong-il era’s military literary theory. For example, new characters such as “Science and Technology Ryongma Rider” and “Health Warrior” have emerged. They are different from the labor heroes of the civil engineering era, ‘Chollima rider’ and ‘Military-first fighter’. Young scientists and engineers who are good at computers are “Science and Technology Ryongma Rider.” For example, like Park Geum-sil’s poem “In the Melting Works of Kimchaek Steelworks”(2023), a steel worker skilled in computer control is embodied as a Ryongma Rider.
