The purpose of this study is to explore a way to valid vocabulary education as public language education. To accomplish this purpose, this study first established categories for vocabulary usage in public language education. This study categorized accurate, appropriate, and valid vocabulary using based on different areas of vocabulary education within public language education. And then, this study developed the content for valid vocabulary education and created a pathway for its implementation in public language education. The content of valid vocabulary education was found to involve understanding the conceptualization of vocabulary, exploring the expressive intent and effects evident in vocabulary selection, and recognizing the socio-cultural characteristics reflected in vocabulary. Lastly, this study designed instructional content to investigate the validity of public vocabulary using. It was determined that public vocabulary education primarily examines the validity of specialized terminology used in official documents. Based on this, the research proposed a learning activity to explore the validity of legal vocabulary used in a news article.
