본 연구는 포도 재배 농업 경영인들의 경험, 의식, 구조에 대한 질적 사례연구이다. 포도 농업경영인들의 경험을 분석하고 한국 과수 농업의 성장과 발전을 지원할 수 있는 구체적 제언을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구방법은 근거 이론을 이용하여 접근하였다. 연구 참여자는 이론적 표집 방법으로 선정되었다. 자료는 심층 면담을 수행하여 구술데이터를 확보하고 이를 코딩 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 자료를 분석한 결과 102개 개념, 33개 하위범주, 12개 범주가 도출 되었다. 충남지역 포도 재배 농업경영인들은 농업환경의 악화와 재난, 기후 변화로 인한 다양한 어려움에도 불구하고 자기주도적 학습과 공동체 정신을 되살려 농업 경쟁력을 강화하는 것으로 나타났다. 연구 결과에 근거하여 건강한 토지 확보를 위한 땅 살리기 지원, 공동 판매 직판장 지원, 농진청, 농업기술원, 기술센터 인력과 과수 재배 농업인들의 연구 협력체계 구성, 농업 교육과 경영 교육의 확대, 빅데이터 활용 교육 등을 제언하였다.
This study is a qualitative research about farming experience and way of thinking and management structure for grape farmers. The purpose is to suggest better policies to strengthen tree fruit industry through analyzing farming experience of grape farmers using the grounded theory, the most representative qualitative research method in Korea. 5 research participants were selected by theorogical sampling method, The data were collected by in-depth interview. The result was summarized as follows. The outputs of line by line coding analysis were 102 concepts, 33 sub-categories and 12 categories. The 12 categories were balance between ideal and real world, building farming safety infrastructure, diversifying sales routes, consumers satisfaction management, positive acception for real world, way of thinking for job calling, fostering international competition, accummulation of technology asset combining management and new nowledge, decreasing marginal labor productivity, vulneralable agricultural competition, innovative farm management, uncontrollable ecological factors. It showed the grape farmers were fostering farming competition through reviving self-directed learning and community sense, even though various difficulties based on degeneration of management environment, disasters and climate changes. It suggested that the government needs to support soil saving for securing sensitive land, support farmer’s market, make a research cooperation system with rural development agency, agricultural research and extension services, farming technology centers and tree fruit farmers, expand farming technology and management education and educate big-data application.
