“Ssakteuneun daeji(Sprouting Ground)” is an anthology of literary works by Koreans in Manchuria published by the Manseon Ilbo Press in 1941. This collection reflects Japanese national policy and is evaluated as such. However, it also embodies the life of the people of ‘Seongyegukmin’(Koreans in Manchuria), who had to live under discriminatory treatment while being alienated from their political and economic status. As such, the “Ssakteuneun daeji(Sprouting Ground)” needs to be reviewed in that it embodies the suffering of the ‘Seongyekukmin’(Koreans in Manchuria). By the way, why did “Saebyeok” and “Amya”, which are considered the hardships of the Early Gando Immigrant Koreans, be included in “Ssakteuneun daeji(Sprouting Ground)”? It was aimed at promoting ‘WangdoNako’(the ideal royal road), the founding ideology of Manchuria. It was to promote that The Great Empire Manchuria is an ideal country compared to Manchuria under the Jang Jak-rim regime. On the other hand, “Ryumang” and “Millilime yeoin(Women in the jungle)” contained together are different from them. Behind it, the novel “Ryumang” which is about edifying opium addicts and irregularities by setting up the political prison, embodies the painful life of the ‘Seongyekukmin’(Koreans in Manchuria) suffering from violence while being confined to the political prison. “Millilime yeoin(Women in the jungle)” also embodies the mission of transforming Kim Soon-yi, a communist, into a new complete imperial citizen, but behind it, it depicts the inside story of “I”s persistent and meticulous ideological warfare to convert the communist. In the end, “Ssakteuneun daeji(Sprouting Ground)” was a anthology of works with the stance of Japan Empire literature that intended to promote the ‘WangdoNakto’(the ideal royal road) and promote Japan Empire policy, but behind it, it can be found that it intends to reflect the violence and deceptive mission of the emperor's fascism.
