향가는 특수한 법칙에 의해 만들어져 있었다. 이를 ‘향가제작법’1)이라하겠다. 향가제작법을 상대시가(上代詩歌) 등 여러 시가에 적용해본결과 새로운 향가 11곡(曲)이 추가로 발견되었다. 향가의 첫 작품은고조선의 <공무도하가(公無渡河歌)>였으며, 현재까지의 마지막 작품은 고려의 <도이장가(悼二將歌)>였다. 향가는 2천여 년이 넘는 기간동안 동일한 제작법에 따라 만들어졌고, 제작법은 소수 인원들에의해 배타적으로 전수 2)되고 있었다. 본고를 통해 지금까지 알려져온 일부 시가들이 향가라는 사실을 입증하고, 새로 발견된 향가들을해독해보고자 한다.
As a result of applying the Hyangga production method to various poems that have been known so far, 11 new Hyangga songs were discovered. The first work of Hyangga was the Gongmoodohaga, and the last work was the Doijangga. It’s not a poem. It’s a song to make a wish. Hyangga was a comprehensive art based on the premise of a collaboration between dance and musical instruments. Hyangga was created consistently from beginning to end by the Hyangga production method, and it was handed down exclusively by a specific group. In this paper, I will apply the Hyangga production method to various poems that have been known so far. Thus, it will prove that some of them were hyangga.
