An Understanding of Niklas Luhmann’s ‘System/Environment-Difference’ Theory - Based on the Concept of Events and the Principle of Conditioned Co-production

이 글은 조건화된 공동생산 원리를 활용하는 사건 개념을 가지고 근대 인문사회과학의주체이론적인 사유의 대안을 모색한다. 사건은 둘이 둘을 만든다는 원리에 따라 공간과 시간을 생성시키면서 실재하는 실재와 ‘환경-경계-체계’로 구축되는 창발적 실재를 생성시킨다. 공간은 무표와 유표로 구분되며, 이 차이 간 이동은 시간 — 다시금 지속의 시간과 교체의 시간으로 나타날 수 있는 — 도 생성시킨다. 사건은 세계에 투입되면서, 그것의 비도달 영역과 도달 영역 간의 사실적 차이, 진동하는 ‘미래적 과거/미래적 미래’와 현재적인조정 작동 간의 차이로서의 시간적 차이, 객체로서의 관찰 대상과 주체로서의 관찰자 간의사회적 차이를 생성시킨다. 마지막 차이는 한 뿌리에서 진동 단계의 타자적 자아를 거쳐각각 타자준거의 환경과 자기준거의 체계로서 개념화되는 사회학적 인식론을 가능하게 한다. 이 개념은 ‘세계-주체-의미’의 패러다임을 ‘세계-의미-체계’의 패러다임으로 변환시킨다. 이 패러다임은 인문사회과학의 근본적인 전제들을 바꾼다. 정신/신체의 이원론은 생명, 의식, 소통이라는 세 가지 종류의 자기생산 현상으로 파악된다. 이론은 사실적/시간적/사회적차원의 분석을 위해 분화이론/시간이론/소통이론으로 다각화된다. 마지막으로 말하지만 중요한 것은, 이론은 사회 현상이 관찰하는 것을 자기 관점으로 관찰하는 관점을 확보한다.

This article proposes an alternative approach to subject-based thinking in humanities and social sciences. It introduces the concept of events based on conditional co-production, generating tangible and emergent realities as an interconnected ‘environment-boundary-system.’ Space is divided into unmarked and marked areas, intertwining with the concept of time, which can manifest as continuity or replacement. Events create factual distinctions between accessible and inaccessible areas, establishing temporal differences between ‘future past/future’ and present operations. They also bring about social differences, distinguishing between the observer as an object and as a subject. This framework conceptualizes sociological epistemology as an environment of foreign reference and self-reference, expanding from a common foundation to a vibrational stage. The proposed framework transforms the traditional ‘world-subject-meaning’ paradigm into a ‘world-meaning-system’ paradigm, reshaping the foundational principles of humanities and social sciences. Mind/body dualism is classified into autopoietic phenomena: life, consciousness, and communication. Theories are diversified into differentiation, temporal, and communication theories, analyzing factual, temporal, and social dimensions. Ultimately, this theory offers a perspective that allows for the observation of social phenomena from their own standpoint.
