연구 목적: 이 연구는 한나 아렌트의 철학사상 ‘사유’, ‘행위’, ‘세계사랑’ 의미를 중심으로 서비스-러닝에 대한 교육적 가치를 고찰하는 것에 목적이 있다. 연구 방법: 서비스-러닝 관련 논문 및 저서, 한나 아렌트의 주요 저작 및 관련 논문를 통해 개념과 의미를 분석하며 문헌연구를 진행하였다. 연구 내용: 서비스-러닝의 개념 및 성찰, 교육적 특성을 정리하고, 한나 아렌트의 철학사상 ‘사유’, ‘행위’, ‘세계사랑’의 개념과 의미를 분석하였다. 이후, 한나 아렌트의 철학사상을 중심으로 서비스-러닝 교육적 가치를 탐색하였다. 결론 및 제언: 대학에서 서비스-러닝은 학생들이 ‘사유’ 능력을 함양할 수 있고, 사회에 나아가 적극적인 봉사활동 ‘행위’로 함께함 속에 자신의 정체성과 존재감을 나타내며, 지역사회에 도움이 필요한 이웃을 사랑으로 섬기는 ‘세계사랑’을 실현할 수 있는 교육이 될 것이다. 본 연구를 통해 서비스 -러닝을 새로운 교육 철학적 방향으로 해석하며 교육적 가치를 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to explore the educational value of service-learning, focusing on the meanings of Hannah Arendt’s philosophy of ‘thinking’, ‘action’, and ‘love of the world.’ Literature research was conducted by analyzing concepts and meanings through papers and books related to service-learning, and major works and related papers by Hannah Arendt. The concept, reflection, and educational characteristics of service-learning were summarized, and the concepts and meanings of Hannah Arendt’s philosophical thought ‘thinking’, ‘action’, and ‘love of the world’ were analyzed. After that, the value of service-learning education was explored, focusing on Hannah Arendt’s philosophical ideology. In universities, service-learning will be an education that allows students to cultivate ‘thinking’ skills, express their identity and presence in active volunteer activities together, and realize ‘love of the world’ that serves neighbors in need of help in the community. Through this study, service-learning was interpreted in a new educational philosophical direction and educational value was presented.
