This study is about disaster diplomacy, which has not been well covered in Korea, and is a study that started from the viewpoint that disasters can improve or strengthen friendly relations between countries. Turkey is becoming more solid in the diplomatic arena having suffered cataclysmic disasters such as earthquakes. The reason is that Turkey is reaping positive diplomatic effects in relations with neighboring countries that were in hostile relations after the earthquake. First, the nature of Korea's and Turkey's disaster diplomacy has a special code that goes beyond political purposes. Second, utilizing the disaster situation, not only the government but also non-governmental organizations led and prepared a place for sustainable exchange. Third, it was found that the effect of social media and influencer activities on disaster diplomacy is very large, which is expected to lay the foundation for looking at disaster diplomacy from a public diplomacy perspective in the future. This study is an exploratory study that is the starting point of disaster diplomacy, which has not been well covered in Korea, and it is expected that follow-up studies through various case studies will be conducted in the future.
