본 연구는 교육부가 2022 개정 교육과정을 준비하면서 다양한 의견 수렴을 반영하기 위하여 실시한 국민 참여 온라인 토론방의 내용 중 ‘학교교육과정에서 강화되어야 할 교육’을 중심으로 주요 주제 토픽을 분석하였다. 설문방식은 학교교육과정에서 강화될 영역에 대하여 의견을 자유롭게 기술하는 방식이다. 잠재적 디리클레 할당모형(LDA)는 토픽모델링에 많이 사용되는 알고리즘이며 비정형 텍스트에서 토픽을 추출하기 용이하다. 분석도구로 Python konlpy 라이브러리, R의 lda, LDAvis 라이브러리를 이용해 LDA 분석을 하였다. 연구결과로서 복잡도(perplexity) 변화율과 토픽간 거리 지도에 기반한 최적의 토픽 개수(best k)는 6개로 분석되었다. 6개 토픽의 주요 주제와 내용을 분석하면 크게 2가지로 구분되는데, 첫째는 미래사회를 대비하여 개정 교육과정에서 강화될 필요가 있는 영역에 대한 요구(토픽)로서 여기에는 인공지능 교육 강화, 디지털 역량 및 문제해결 역량 강화, 정보교육의 강화와 개선이 포함된다. 토픽 1, 2, 5가 여기에 해당된다. 둘째는 현재의 삶과 인성 회복을 위하여 2022 개정 교육과정에서 강화될 필요가 있는 영역에 대한 요구(토픽)로서 여기에는 진로 및 직업교육 강화, 인성·민주시민· 인권교육의 강화, 행복한 삶을 위한 가정교육 확대 등이 포함된다. 토픽 3, 4, 6이 여기에 해당된다. 국민 참여 의견조사가 조사에만 그치지 않고 본 연구를 통하여 도출된 토픽들이 교육과정 실행에 반영되기를 기대한다.
This study analyzed the main topics of the survey related to ‘Which areas should be strengthened in the school curriculum related to 2022 revised curriculum?’. This survey is one of the online discussion forums conducted by the Ministry of Education to collect public opinions while preparing the 2022 revised curriculum. The survey method is that individuals freely express their opinions about areas needed to be strengthened in the school curriculum. LDA(latent dirichlet allocation) was used as a research method, which extracts potential topics from respondents' descriptions. LDA is an algorithm widely used for topic modeling, and it is easy to extract topics from unstructured text. As a result of the study, the best number of topics(best k) based on the change rate of perplexity and inter-topic distance map was 6. Analysis of the six topics can be summarized into two main categories. The first is the demand for areas that need to be strengthened in school curriculum in preparation for the future society. Topics 1, 2 and 5 fall into this category. The second is the demand areas that need to be enhanced in the school curriculum for current living and character restoration. Topics 3, 4 and 6 fall into this category. We hope that the topics derived from the research results will not only end with opinion surveys, but will be well reflected in the 2022 revised curriculum.
