이 연구는 문학 작품에 등장하는 행위자 간 상호작용에 내재한 사회구조와 행위자에 의해 일어나는 사회구조의 파쇄 및 변화를 분석하여 실재 사회에서 행위자가 사회구조에 변화를 주고 사회를 역동적으로 만들 가능성을 탐색하려 한다. 문학 작품은 허구이지만 사회적 실재에 기반한다. 작가, 독자, 작품의 3요소가 더불어 문학 작품의 사회성을 제공한다. 문학 작품은 작가에 의해서 창작되지만 작가가 개연성과 우연성을 기반으로 잘 구성된 각본에 따라서 행위자들의 행동과 생각을 연결하여 작품을 완성한다. 작가는 살아가는 사회에서 경험할 수밖에 없는 시대의 사회구조에 기반해서 자신이 발휘할 수 있는 최대한의 상상력을 더해 작품을 완성한다. 독자는 문학 작품의 구조적 장치를 통해 개별 사건들을 마치 신이 된 것처럼 연극의 ‘제4의 벽’이나 ‘자각몽’처럼 제약 없이 서로 다른 시간과 공간에서 일어나는 사건들을 연결하며 작품의 행위자들을 이해할 수 있다. 비록 문학 작품이 허구이긴 하지만 작가가 살아가는 사회적 실재에 기반을 둔다는 점에서 그리고 사회구조에 의해 영향을 받는 작가의 창작물이라는 점에서 사회적으로 해석할 수 있다. 따라서 허구적인 문학 작품이 그 안에서 행위자들이 보여주는 사회의 규범과 가치 그리고 지배적 사회구조를 다룬다는 점에서 사회에 실재할 수 있다는 개연성과 비록 작품 안에서지만 행위자들이 기존 지배 구조의 가치와 규범을 새로운 것으로 대체하는 과정과 방식을 제시하여 실재 독자들이 작품을 읽고 영향을 받을 수 있다. 이 연구는 일상에서 일어나는 극적인 일들을 소설에서 구조적인 것으로 다룸으로써 독자들이 구조를 이해할 수 있게 하여 구조에 저항하거나 새로운 대안을 찾을 가능성을 열어 문학 작품의 사회성을 살펴볼 것이다.
This study aims at exploring the possibility that actors change the social structure and make society dynamic in real society by analyzing the social structure revealed in the interaction between actors in literature, and the change of the structure caused by actors. Literary works are fictional, but based on social reality. The three literary elements, such as the writer, the reader, and the work together, provide the sociality of the literary work. A literary work is created by a writer, but the writer completes the work by connecting the actions and thoughts of actors according to a well-constructed script based on probability and contingency. The artist completes the work by adding the maximum amount of imagination that he can exert based on the social structure of the times that he has no choice but to experience in the society in which he lives. Readers can understand the actors and their behaviors in the work, as if they were gods, by connecting events that occurs in different times and spaces without restrictions through the structural mechanisms of literary works like the ‘fourth wall’ or ‘lucid dream’ of plays. Although a literary work is fictional, it can be socially interpreted in that it is based on the social reality in which the writer lives and is the author's creation influenced by the social structure. Therefore, the probability that a fictional literary work can be real in society in that it deals with social norms and values and the dominant social structure shown by the actors in it and that actors replace the values and norms of the existing governance structure with new ones, even though they are in the work. By presenting the process and method of doing so, real readers can read and be influenced by the work. This study examines the social nature of literary works by treating dramatic events in daily life as structural in novels, allowing readers to understand the structure and opening the possibility of resisting the structure or finding a new alternative.
