이 연구의 목적은 장애 청소년과 가족을 대상으로 4차 산업혁명의 대표적 기술인 소셜 로봇과 사물인터넷 기술을 실제 활용한 경험을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 소셜 로봇과 사물인터넷을 실제 활용한 경험이 있는 장애 청소년 8명과 가족 5명을 연구참여자로 하여 초점집단면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 장애 청소년은 “새로운 세상”,“나에게 찾아온 변화”, “아쉬움과 기대”라는 총 3개의 주제, 6개의 하위범주, 11개의 의미 있는 개념들을 도출하였으며, 장애 청소년의 가족은 “장애 청소년에게 찾아온 변화”, “장애인 가족 삶의 질 향상”, “편리하지만 아쉬운 IT 세상”, “앞으로 더 기대됨”이라는 4개의 주제, 9개의 하위범주, 17개의 의미 있는 개념들을 도출하였다. 이를 통해 “새로운 변화와 성장의 문턱을 넘는 경험이지만 아직은 장애 특성을 반영하기에는 부족한 기술”이라는 종합 주제를 도출하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 장애 청소년과 가족의 IT 접근성 강화를 위한 함의를 제언하였다.
This study investigated how children with disabilities experience social robots and the Internet of Things (IoT), technologies representative of the 4th industrial revolution. We conducted focus group interviews with eight children with disabilities and five family members who had experience using social robots and IoT. Resultingly, we derived three themes, six subcategories, and 11 meaningful concepts by interviewing the children. The three themes were "a new world”, “changes that happened to me” and “regret and expectation." By interviewing the family member, four themes, nine subcategories, and 17 meaningful concepts were derived. The four themes were “changes that happened to children with disabilities”, “improved the quality of life of the families”, “convenient but not satisfying IT world” and “Looking forward to more.” Based on these interviews, we derived a comprehensive theme that “using the technologies is the experience of crossing the threshold of new change and growth for children with disabilities and their families, but the technologies do not fully reflect the characteristics of people with disabilities .”Based on the results obtained, this study suggests strengthening the access of children with disabilities and their families to Information Technology.
