이 논문은 한국 한문산문의 서술문체와 수사논리학에 관해 개괄하고 그 역사문화적 기능에 대해 탐색했다. 한국 한문산문은 秦漢 經史諸家의 문언어법과 韓愈 이래 복고적 산문의 어법을 준수하는 고문이 주류를 이룬다. 단, 문언어법의 고문 이외에, 이두식 한문(조선식 한문)과 변문이 함께 발전했으며, 불교식 한문 또한 일정한 위상을 점유했다. 조선후기에는 명 복고파 문인들이 선진 문언을 모방한 擬古文, 서정과 주관적 사유를 단형으로 표현하는 小品文의 行文 방식을 참조하면서 산문의 예술 미학을 발달시켰다. 한국의 한문산문은 역사문화의 場에서 독특한 가치를 인정받았다. 한국한문학 일반이나 마찬가지로 외세에 대한 저항의식의 표출, 국경 의식의 고양, 민족역사에 대한 관심 표명, 자국 언어 및 자국 문학에 대한 관심 표명, 독자적인 문명의식, 민족 정서의 재발견과 소외된 민족성원에 대한 재인식, 국토산하의 재발견 등을 주제로 삼아 왔을 뿐 아니라, 협의의 문학성을 넘어서 기록성과 논리성을 확보하면서, 사실 기록과 과학 연구에서 중요한 문체로 활용되었다. 또한 한문산문은 정통 교학을 옹호하려는 지향을 疑義 등의 문체를 통해 뚜렷하게 드러내는 한편으로, 敎學의 함의를 재조정하고 회의하는 정신을 문헌의 절록과 집록에 담으면서 自說을 구축했으며, 일부 지식인은 體例를 모색했다.
This paper studies the historical fact of Korean Sinitic prose's narrative style and rhetorical structure. The mainstream of Korean Sinitic prose was composed of literary structure from Qin～Han era Hundred Schools of Thoughts and classical prose style which follows retro codes since Han Yu's established compositions. However, in Korea, not only these classical style prose was acknowledged, but also the Idu script style (Chosŏn style Sinitic literature) and parallel prose have thrived, and the Buddhistic literature occupied a certain position. In the late Chosŏn period, the literary circles of Chosŏn developed aesthetical aspect of Sinitic prose, referring to Ming dynasty archaist's writing style which experimented archaistic literature to mimic pre∼Qin era compositions and vignette style to express one's feelings and subjective thinking in short writing. Korean Sinitic prose was appreciated with its distinct value in historical and cultural field, adopting themes, e.g. resistance to foreign influence, awareness on the national boundary, history of the nation, native language and literature, the civilization's independency, re∼acknowledge on the national emotion and marginalized national members, and re∼discovery of homeland, just as the general Korean Sinitic literature did. In addition, Sinitic prose retained archival and logical value beyond the literature in the narrow definition, being utilized in recording history and conducting science. Sinitic prose also vividly presents the aim to advocate the orthodox learning in Ŭiŭi (the demonstration and commentary) style prose, establish a personal theory in excerpt and compilation style prose with sceptical attitude toward the meaning of orthodox learning. Some literati even sought a concrete literary system of Sinitic prose.
