이 논문의 목적은 개혁주의생명신학의 “신학은 학문이 아니다”라는 명제를 충분히 이해하지 못하여 발생할 수 있는 오해 요소를 극복하기 위하여 이를 개념 개략도를 통해 설명한 것이다. 이 명제가 개혁주의생명신학의 성경적 가치개입 하에 왜 정당한가를 밝히기 위해, 가치중립과 가치개입의 개념을 사용하였다. 개혁주의생명신학에서의 가치개입에는 “신학은 교회를 섬기는 것이다.”, “신학은 학문이 아니라 예수 그리스도의 생명의 복음이다.”, “성경이 신학을 뒷받침하는 것이 아니라 신학이 성경을 뒷받침해야 한다.” 등의 성경적 가치개입이 적용된다. 가치개입이라는 개념을 이용해 명제에 대한 오해 요소의 극복에 대한 연구의 결론을 도출한 결과, “학문 만으로서의 신학”에서의 학문은가치개입이 없는 가치중립의 학문과 가치개입이 된 광의적 개념에서의 학문으로 나누어지며, 이를 통해 위 명제가 신학은 학문이 아님을 밝히고 있다는 것을 알게 되었다. 그리고 개혁주의생명신학은 ‘신학은 교회를 섬기는 것’, ‘예수 그리스도의 생명의복음으로 생명 구원의 역사가 일어나는 것’ 이라는 가치개입을 바탕으로 하는 것이므로, 가치개입을 수용한 광의의 학문으로 볼수 있지만 가치중립의 관점에서의 학문인 협의의 학문은 될 수없다. 이 논문은 개혁주의생명신학의 신학에는 “예수 그리스도의생명의 복음”이라는 가치가 개입되어 있고, 또한 “신학은 예수그리스도의 생명의 복음”임을 밝히고 있음을 조명하여, 개혁주의생명신학의 “신학은 학문이 아니다”라는 명제에 대한 오해 요소를 극복하고, 개혁주의생명신학의 명제가 “신학은 학문이 아니라예수 그리스도의 생명의 복음임”을 주장하고 있음을 체계적으로도출하였다.
The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for avoiding misunderstandings that might occur from a failure to properly comprehend the proposition presented by Reformed Life Theology, “Theology is not an academic discipline” through conceptual schematic diagrams. To demonstrate why the presented proposition is valid under biblical value intervention of Reformed Life Theology, the study employs two concepts: Value neutrality and Value addition. The Value Intervention of Reformed Life Theology applies the Biblical Value Interventions such as “Theology is to serve the church.”, “Theology is not an academic discipline but rather the gospel of life.”, and “It is not the Bible that supports Theology, theology should support the Bible.” Using the concept of 'Value Intervention,' the research reveals that the concept "Academic Discipline" in the terminology "Theology as a mere Academic Discipline" can be subdivided into the value-neutral academic discipline that is devoid of value intervention and the academic discipline in the broadest sense that has value intervention. This demonstrates that the given proposition asserts theology is not an academic discipline. Due to the fact that Reformed Life Theology is based on Value Intervention, which states "Theology is to serve the church" and "Jesus Christ's gospel of life induces salvation of life," it can be considered an academic discipline in the broad sense that accepted Value Intervention, but it cannot be considered an academic discipline in the narrow sense within the framework of Value Neutrality. This paper overcomes possible misconception of the proposition presented by Reformed Life Theology, “Theology is not an academic discipline”, and derives a logical conclusion that “Theology is not an academic discipline, it is Jesus Christ’s gospel of life.”is indeed what the proposition asserts. This conclusion can be reached by asserting that Reformed Life Theology is influenced by the value "Jesus Christ's gospel of life" and that it signifies "Theology is Jesus Christ's gospel of Life."
