이 글은 2015년 JTBC에서 방영된 드라마 <송곳>에 나타난 자본권력의 문제와 노동운동의 재현 양상을 살펴보는 데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 웹툰이 원작인 드라마 <송곳>은 실화를 바탕으로 노동운동이라는 소재를 텔레비전드라마로 만들었다는 점에서 의미가 있다고 할 수 있다. 이 드라마는 프랑스에 본사를 둔 마트를 배경으로 회사가 노동자를 불법으로 해고하려는 상황을 담아내고 있다. 이를 통해 신자유주의 경제 논리가 노동 현장에 어떻게 적용되고 있는지를 보여주는 동시에, 다양한 차이로 분열하는 인물들을 그려내고 있다. 나아가 드라마 <송곳>은 주인공 이수인과 구고신 외에도 문소진과 정민철과 같은 인물을 통해 노동자 인물을 현실적으로 보여준다. 그들은 신자유주의 체제에서 자신의 노력과 성공만을 믿는 한국 노동자의 모습을 현실감 있게 다룬다. 또한 이수인의 인간적인 면모를 통해 대립적이고 불법적인 이미지의 노동운동에도 다소 변화된 이미지를 부여한다. 드라마 <송곳>은 노동 유연화와 비정규직 문제 등 노동의 구조적인 문제를 쉽게 설명하는 동시에 노동 문제가 우리 현실에 얼마나 가까이 있는지를 보여준다. 그러나 노동 문제의 근본적인 원인을 찾는 데까지는 나아가지 못하며, 다소 낭만적이고 이상적인 결말로 나아간다는 한계를 동시에 지니고 있다.
The purpose of this article is to the problem of capital power and the reproduction of the labor movement in the drama Songkot aired on JTBC in 2015. The drama Songkot is based on a webtoon, that is a true story. The drama is set in a French mart and depicts the company’s attempt to illegally fire workers. Through this, it shows how neoliberal economic logic is applied in the fieldof labor, and at the same time, it depicts characters who di- vide over a variety of practical issues. Furthermore, in addition to the main characters Lee Soo-in and Koo Go-shin, the drama Songkot realistically shows the workers’ characters through characters such as Moon So-jin and Jeong Min-cheol. They deal realistically with the appearance of Korean workers who believe only in the neoliberal system and in the power of their efforts and success. In addition, through Lee Soo-in’s personality of putting others first, a somewhat changed image is given to the labor movement a confrontational and illegal image. The drama Songkot easily explains the structural problems of labor, such as labor flexibilization and non-regular workers, while showing how close the la- bor problem is to our reality. However, it does not go so far as to find the fun- damental cause of the labor problem, it moves toward a somewhat romantic and idealistic ending.
