본 연구는 내연산 12폭포를 중심으로 기존의 탐방로를 이용하여 지오투어리즘을 활용한 안내판을 설치하기위한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 내연산 12폭포를 연구지역으로 선정한 이유는 안내판이 설치되어 있으나지형 및 지질, 문화 자원에 대한 설명이 매우 미흡하고 폭포의 유래에 대한 정보만 있기 때문이다. 또한 내연산 12폭포는 경북동해안 지질공원에 선정된 곳으로 뛰어난 지형, 지질, 문화자원에 대해 쉽고도 전문적인 안내판을 설치하여우수한 자원을 효과적으로 교육하고 활용할 수 있는 장소이다. 내연산 12폭포는 접근성이 뛰어나 도보 여행길을 적용한 탐방 프로그램을 개발하기에도 좋은 곳이다. 안내판을 설치하기 위해 12폭포의 지형 특성을 조사하여 대표 지형을 분류하였고, 결과를 반영한 안내판 설치 장소를 5곳 선정하였다. 대표지형이 중복되지 않도록 안내판 장소를 선정하여 교육적 효과를 높이고자 하였다. 본 연구의 한계점은 대부분 지형이 하천에 의해 형성된 지형이라는 점이다. 이러한 한계점을 극복하기 위하여 경북 동해안 지질공원의 두호동 화석산지, 달전리 주상절리, 구룡소 돌개구멍 등화산 및 해안지형에 안내판 설치를 연계한다면, 지역이 가지는 한계성을 극복하고 교육적 효과도 더욱 증대될 것으로예상된다. 이에 내연산 12폭포와 경북 동해안 지질공원과 연계한 프로그램 및 기초 자료 제공을 위한 연구를 모색할필요가 있다.
This study attempted to provide basic data for installing a guide plate that utilizes geo-tourism using the existing trail centering on the 12 Falls of Mt. Naeyeon. The reason why the 12 Falls of Mt. Naeyeon was selected as a research area is that although a signboard is installed, the explanation of the landform, geology, and cultural resources is very insufficient, and there is only information on the origin of the waterfall. In addition, Mt. Naeyeon 12 Falls was selected as a Gyeongbuk East Coast National Geopark and it was judged that Mt. Naeyeon 12 Falls, which has good accessibility, was a place to effectively educate and utilize excellent resources by installing easy and professional signs on landform, geology, and cultural resources. In order to revitalize geotourism, representative landform representing each waterfall was classified, and five guide plate installation sites were selected accordingly. In particular, the representative landform of each waterfall was selected, and a signboard was installed in a place where the representative landform did not overlap to enhance the educational effect on various landform resources. The limitation of this study is that most of the landform is landform formed by rivers. To overcome these limitations, installing and linking signs on volcanic and coastal landform such as Duho-dong fossil production area, Daljeon-ri columnar joints, and Guryongso Pothole in Gyeongbuk East Coast Geopark will overcome the limitations of the region and further increase educational effects. Therefore, it is necessary to seek research to provide programs and basic data in connection with the 12 Falls of Mt. Naeyeon and Gyeongbuk East Coast Geopark.
