한국 사회에서 콘텐츠가 도입된 이후, 콘텐츠는 풍부한 문화적 소재의 활용·다양한 매체와의 결합 등을 통해 영역이 확장되어 갔다. 디지털 영역에서 도입된 콘텐츠는 관광·교육·광고 등은 물론 일상의 영역인 지역과 마을뿐만 아니라 종교와의 결합을 통해 새로운 콘텐츠를 구현하고 있었다. 이 같은 상황에서 세종특별자치시에 세종전통문화체험관이 2022년 8월 개관하였는데, 이는 불교문화 중심의 공간형 종교콘텐츠라 할 수 있다. 세종전통문화체험관은 당초 한국불교문화체험관이라 계획되었으나, 특정 종교를 위한 공간이라기보다는 시민 향유를 위한 체험 공간으로서 나아가기 위해 명칭을 변경하고 다양한 콘텐츠를 기획하였다. 이 연구는 세종전통문화체험관의 조성이 잠재 향유자에게 미치는 기대효과를 고찰하고자 진행되었다. Pine과 Gilmore가 제시한 네 가지의 체험경제이론을 분석의 틀로 설정하여 설문지를 구성하였으며, 384명의 설문조사를 통해 자료를 수집하였고, 다양한 기법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 명칭 만족도에 대한 기대가 높으며, 체험 프로그램 중 엔터테인먼트적 체험과 교육적 체험에 대한 기대가 높은 것으로 드러났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 체험관 명칭의 구체성 확보와 특화된 교육 체험 콘텐츠 확보가 필요하다는 점을 논의하였다.
After content was introduced in Korean society, the scope of content expanded in various ways. The contents introduced in the digital realm were realizing new contents through the combination of not only tourism, education, advertisement, but also religion, as well as regions and villages, which are areas of daily life. In this situation, the Sejong CULTURAL CENTER of KOREAN TRADITION opened in Sejong City in August 2022, which is a Buddhist cultural content. The Sejong Traditional Culture Experience Center was initially planned as a Korean Buddhist culture experience center, but efforts were made to move forward as an experience space for citizens to enjoy rather than a space for a specific religion. This study was conducted to examine the expected effects of the creation of the Sejong CULTURAL CENTER of KOREAN TRADITION on potential enjoyers. The four experiential economy theories of Pine and Gilmore were set as the framework for analysis, and the questions were formed, and data were collected through a survey of 384 people, and various techniques were applied to analyze them. As a result of the study, it was found that the expectations for the name satisfaction were high, and the expectations for entertainment and educational experiences among the experience programs were high. Through these research results, it was discussed that it is necessary to secure specificity of the name of the experience center and to secure specialized educational experience contents.
