『古事記』の天孫邇邇芸命の降臨では、「此地者 向韓國眞來通 笠紗之御前而 朝日之直刺國。夕日之日照國也。故此地甚吉地」となっている。ここでの解釈は研究者や出版社によって違いはあるが、概要は「韓国に通じていて笠沙の岬を通っていて朝日、夕日が照らすのでよ土地だ。」ということである。 「韓国」を朝鮮半島を指すとする解釈が多い中、本居宣長は「韓国」を『日本書紀』から引用し「膂宍の空国」と解釈する。膂宍の空国とは、膂宍は背中の骨のない国つまり、荒れてやせた不毛の地という意味である。このことから、現在まで宣長の解釈については、「韓国」つまり彼の朝鮮認識が否定的であったという見解を生むことになる。 宣長の「カラ」は大和心や「もののあはれ」に示される、より心理的、より哲学的な世界であり、特定の民族や国を指すものではなかった。 よって、『古事記』の天孫降臨での、韓国の解釈では、「から」を大和心とは無関係のもの、「もののあはれ」のない世界、「真心」とは無関係といった意味で解釈していたのであった。そして、天孫邇邇芸命が降臨し、よき地と求めたところは、「朝日之直刺國。夕日之日照國也。故此地甚吉地」とあるように「朝日が照り、夕日が照る場所」である。 それは、宣長が愛した春に咲く桜に照らされた世界と結びつき、自画自賛像に書かれた、「朝日に匂ふ山桜花」と関連しているのであった。

Therefore, this is a very good place” The interpretation here varies depending on the researcher, but the outline is "It is a land that leads to Korea peninsula or Choseon, passes through the cape of Kasasa." Therefore, this is the place of advent. Norinaga Motooi(1730~1801) quotes "karakuni" from the "Nihonshoki" and interprets it as "Soshishino-Karakuni". "Soshishino-Karakuni" means that is a rough and thin barren land. Therefore, the author tried to examine his perception of Korea from the literature on his foreign view. Based on the historical consideration of "Kara", I have seen Norinaga's attitude toward "Kara". According to his interpretation of "Kojiki", "kara" was interpreted to mean something that had nothing to do with Yamato-gokoro, a world without "Mononoaware". Therefore the place where it was decided that it was a good place was "a place where the sun shines and the sunset shines".
이 논고는 『고사기』의 천손니니기노미코토가 강림할 때 나오는 기사 “此地者 向韓國眞來通 笠紗之御前而 朝日之直刺國。夕日之日照國也。故此地甚吉地”에 주목한다. 이 기사의 해석은 연구자에 따라 조금씩 다르지만 “한반도를 통하면서 가사사노 미사키를 향하고 있어서 아침 햇빛과 저녁 석양에 빛나는 아주 좋은 땅이다.”라고 되어 있다. 그래서 니니기는 여기를 강림할 장소로 택했다는 강림의 근거가 된 것이다. 기사에 나오는 ‘韓国’을 한반도로 지적하는 해석이 많은 가운데 모토오리 노리나가는이 ‘韓国’이라는 한자를 『일본서기』를 인용하면서 「膂宍の空国」 즉 등뼈가 없는 불모의 땅이라고 표현을 한다. 노리나가의 ‘가라’에 대한 인식은 야마토고코로(야마토 정신)나 ‘모노노아와래’에 나타난 보다 심리적인 세계였다. 『고사기』에 나온 천손강림의 기사는 ‘韓国’을 가라쿠니라고 한다면 그 ‘가라’라는 의미는 야마토고코로와 대조적인 개념으로 파악하는 것이다. 즉 모노노아와래와의 대조할 수도 있는 것이 ‘가라’였다고 해도 된다. 그래서 니니기노미코토가 강림한 곳은 「朝日之直刺國。夕日之日照國也。故此地甚吉地」라고 되어 있는 것과 같이 “햇살이 비치고 석양에 비치는 곳이었다.
