AB - Mi verdadera historia published in 2017 is about the real and the unreal, the conflict between the two concepts and the destruction of the border between them. While the real contains normality, regularity, absoluteness, the dominant and the seen, the unreal contains the abnormality, the irregularity and the hidden. The young protagonist of this novel does not get attention and affection from his father. However he writes a story about himself, wishing that his father would read it. The protagonist expresses his needs and desires through his novel, and his father fascinated by his son as a fictional character in the novel. Ultimately, through this novel, the author Juan José Millás speaks of the power of fictionality in literature based upon unreality and imagination.
