This study analyzes the leadership of middle managers with high performance in an institution specializing in protecting elderly adults. Methods: Five employees were se- lected from the middle managers of the institution specializing in protecting elderly adults based on personal performance records, prize records, and recommandation, who had more than 10 years of social welfare experience and more than 5 years of middle managers experience. The focus group interview was conducted with them by four times. Results: The leadership of middle managers who showed high performance in the institution specializing in protecting elderly adults was named 'Together Leadership'. First, in the category of 'pio- neer', it was derived as a set of themes of 'vision and conviction' and 'taking the initiative and setting an example'. Second, in the category of 'affectivity', it was derived as a set of themes of 'sympathy' and 'support'. Third, in the category of 'professionalism', it was derived as a set of themes of 'effective coordination ability', and 'efficient work ability'. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that it will be basic data that can give implications to middle managers who are aiming for high-performance and suggest practical directions for development.
