본 연구의 목적은 이웃의 지지와 어머니의 양육스트레스, 가족 상호작용과 유아의 사회적 유능성간의 구조적 관계를 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위하여 육아정책연구소의 한국아동패널연구(Panel Study on Korean Children) 7차년도 조사에 참여한 가구 중 1450가구를 대상으로 기술통계 분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관분석, 확인적 요인분석, 구조방정식을 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 이웃의 지지는 어머니의양육스트레스에 직접 영향을 미치고, 어머니의 양육스트레스는 가족 상호작용과 유아의 사회적 유능성에직접 영향을 미치며, 가족 상호작용은 유아의 사회적 유능성에 직접 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 다중매개효과분석을 위해 팬텀변수를 활용한 개별 간접효과를 검증한 결과, 이웃의 지지는 어머니의 양육스트레스와가족 상호작용을 매개로 유아의 사회적 유능성에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 이웃의 지지는어머니의 양육스트레스를 부분매개로 유아의 사회적 유능성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이웃의 지지모형은 중요하지만 간과되고 있는 이웃의 지지와 유아의 사회적 발달에 영향을 미치는 변인들 간의 경로를탐색하여 사회적 유능성에 영향을 주는 다양한 변인들 간의 관계를 살펴봄으로써 사회적 지원체계를 다각화하고 유아의 발달에 대한 논의를 총체적 차원에서 이끌어 낸다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
The purpose of this research is to verify the structural relationship between neighbors' support, mothers' parenting stress, family interaction, and children's social competence. The structural equation analysis was conducted for 1450 households among the households participating in the 7th-year survey of the Panel Study on Korean Children carried by the Child Care Policy Research Institute. The main research results are as follows. Firstly, support from neighbors directly affects the mother's parenting stress, the mother's parenting stress directly influences family interaction and the children's social competence, and family interaction directly correlates the children's social competence. Secondly, as a result of individual indirect effect analysis using phantom variables to analyze multi-mediation effects, the support from neighbors positively associated with children's social competence through mother-rearing stress and family interaction. Neighbors' support was found to correspond children's social competence partially mediated by the mother's parenting stress. The neighbor's support model in this study explores the path between the neglected neighbor's support and the variables that affect children's social competence and examines the relationship between various variables that impact children's social competence, thereby examining the healthy development of young children. This research is meaningful in that it can lead to a discussion of a holistic approach for preparing a support system.
