구좌제일교회(황호민 담임목사, 박미란 사모)는 20여 년간 궨당의 마을 제주변방에서 교육공동체를 일궈내었다. 본 글은 준더마이어의 ‘콘비벤츠’선교의 프리즘으로 구좌제일교회의 마을사역을 상호배움과 교육공동체, 상호도움과 생명공동체, 함께 삶을 축하하는 잔치공동체라는 관망(觀望)에서 성찰한다. 마을목회는 선교적 교회를 지역 안에서 표현하는 하나의 사례로서 선교적 교회론은 마을목회의 선교학적ㆍ교회론적 기초라 할 수 있다. 구좌제일교회는 가난하고 소외된 마을 사람들과 함께, 마을의 다음 세대들을 능동적인 주체로 일으켜 세워 마을의 가치를 자각하게 해주고 성령의 거룩한 구좌바람을 일으키는 교회로서, 지역사회와 함께 연대 성장해가면서 풍성하게 하나님나라를 꽃피워 왔다. 이처럼 콘비벤츠는 구조적으로 배우고 돕고 잔치하는 생활공동체로서 오래 어우러져 살면서 총체적인 상호교류를 낳는 선교의 장이다. 선교는 서로 돕고 배우면서 삶을 축하하는 생활공동체로의 초청, 즉 하나님이 지금 여기 구체적인 삶의 현장에서 인간에게 허용하신 삶을, 하나님나라에서 완성될 때까지 함께 축하하는 잔치에로의 초청이다.
Gujwa Jeil Church (Pastor Hwang Ho-min, Mrs. Park Mi-ran) has been cultivating a learning community at a village in the outskirts of Jeju Island for the past 20 years. This paper considers Gujwa Jeil Church’s maeul (village) ministry by observing through the prism of Konvivenz (Sundermeier) their mutual learning as learning community, mutual assistance as community of life, and celebrating together as community of celebration. Maeul ministry stems from the missional and ecclesial foundation of missional church to realize this concept in the local community. Gujwa Jeil Church has been raising up the younger generations along with the poor and the marginalized in Gujwa to help them recognize their worth and usher in the winds of the Holy Spirit. The church has grown alongside and in solidarity with the village and has aided in the rich blooming of the Kingdom of God. As observable in this case, Konvivenz is a missional sphere and a community of complete mutuality in learning, assistance, and celebration, formed through many years of doing life together. The mission is to invite people to a community of life in which they learn from and help one another and celebrates together.
