In this study, in order to minimize the casualties caused by large-scale fires, whichoccur frequently in Korea, a new search equipment (fire helmet) that can search for the locationof occupants was developed and its effectiveness was verified. The occupant search equipmentconsists of an FMCW LiDAR, EO/IR, and UWB. To verify the effectiveness of the developedequipment, a test bed was constructed and scenarios for fire situations were developed. Theresults of the experiment confirmed that the occupant search time was shortened by up to 151seconds by using the developed equipment.
