본 연구는 빅데이터를 통해 남북통일에 관한 한국 사회의 인식을 분석하고 그를 통한 함의를 도출하여 미래 한반도 통일에 관한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 이를 위해 2003년부터 2022년 5월까지, 역대 4개 정부를 분석대상 기간으로 구분 설정하고 포털 및 언론보도 빅데이터 총 115,975건의 데이터를 수집하여 텍스트마이닝과 사회연결망 분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과, 정부 시기별 통일에 관한 사회적 인식의 특성을 확인하였으며 외교, 정치, 군사, 경제, 사회·문화 측면의 공통 키워드를 도출하여 그에 따른 한반도 통일에 관한 발전적 방향을 제언하였다.
This study attempted to obtain an implication of the unification of the Korean peninsula in the future by analyzing the perception of their unification in the Korean society through big data and drawing an undertone through it. To this end, text mining and social network analysis were performed by dividing the period of powers of the last four governments from 2003 to May 2022 to set a target period for analysis and collecting a total of 115,975 big data from portals and media reports. As a result of the study, characteristics of the social perception on unification for each government period were confirmed, common keywords in terms of diplomacy, politics, military, economy, and society and culture were derived, and its resultant constructive direction for the unification on the Korean Peninsula was suggested.
