이 연구는 한국어 학습자의 역번역 자료를 분석하여, 역번역을 활용한 한국어 어휘 교육의 방향을 모색하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 위해 먼저 한국어 학습자의 역번역 자료 확보를 위한 조사 및 분석 연구의 설계 변인을 논의한다. 그런 다음 한국어 고급 학습자를 대상으로 소설 ‘망원동 브라더스’에 대한 역번역 자료를 분석하여 학습자의 어휘 사용 양상을 파악한다. 특히 학습자의 역번역 자료에서 특징적으로 나타난 감정 표현 어휘와 관용 표현을 중심으로 학습자가 선택한 어휘의 양상을 질적으로 기술한다. 이를 바탕으로 한국어 어휘 교육의 내용과 방법 차원에서 역번역의 활용 방향을 제안한다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze Korean learners’ back translation texts, to find out a way of Korean vocabulary education using the back translation. To accomplish this purpose, this study arranges the variatives of the inquiry and analysis study design to secure Korean learners’ back translation texts. And then, it figures out Korean advanced learners’ vocabulary using aspects with analyzing back translation texts about a novel “Mangwondong brothers’. Especially, it describes qualitatively learners’ choosing vocabulary aspects focusing on the emotional expression vocabularies and the idiomatic expressions which are typically on the learners’ back translation texts. Based on these arguments, this study suggests a way of the back translation in the contents and methods of Korean vocabulary education.
