본 연구는 온라인 육아 커뮤니티에 게시된 영유아 부모의 자녀양육 고민을 자녀 연령별로 심도 있게 분석하고자수행되었다. 이를 위해 연구자가 선행연구에서 2010년부터 2018년까지 9년간 온라인 육아 커뮤니티에 게시된 데이터를 수집하여 고민 유형을 분류한 것을 바탕으로 텍스트 네트워크 분석(text network analysis)을 실시했다. 영유아 부모의 자녀양육 고민은 기본생활, 놀이 및 교육, 발달, 영양, 의료 및 안전의 다섯 가지 유형으로 분류되었고, 각 유형의자녀양육 고민 내용이 자녀 연령에 따라 변화하는 양상이 총체적으로 분석되었다. 분석결과, 기본생활과 관련해서는연령별로 고민 내용이 달라지긴 하지만, 배변 훈련과 수면이 영유아 부모의 주된 고민거리인 것으로 나타났다. 놀이및 교육 영역에서는 부모들이 주로 놀잇감, 전집, 어린이집, 유치원, 한글, 교과교육 등에 대한 고민을 안고 있는데, 특히 취학 시기가 가까울수록 교과교육에 대한 고민이 깊어지는 경향이 엿보였다. 발달 관련 부모의 자녀양육 고민은아이가 잘 자라고 있느냐에 집중됐고, 영양 관련 자녀양육 고민은 0세에서 6세까지 어떻게 하면 영양가 있게 잘 먹일수 있느냐로 압축됐다. 의료 및 안전 관련 영역에서는 안전사고보다는 의료 조치가 필요한 상황에 대한 고민이 두드러졌다. 연구결과는 영유아 부모들이 자녀양육에서 느끼는 고민의 실제를 파악하여 자녀양육에 필요한 사회적지지 체계를 마련하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
We examined child-rearing concerns of parents with young children posted on online parenting communities using text network analysis. We collected the data posted on such communities over a nine-year period from 2010 to 2018. The data were classified into five types of concerns: basic life, play and education, development, nutrition, medical care and safety. The contents of each type of child-rearing concerns were then comprehensively examined according to the child's age. Concerning basic life, toilet training and sleep were the main concerns of parents of young children, although the contents tended to vary by age. Regarding play and education, parents mainly had concerns about toys, books, daycare centers, kindergartens, Hangul, and subject education. In particular, parents' concerns about subject education tended to be deeper the closer their children were to school age. While development-related parenting concerns focused on whether the child is growing well, nutrition-related concerns were concentrated on how to feed children from 0 to 6 years old nutritiously. With regard to medical care and safety, concerns about situations requiring medical measures were more prominent than safety accidents. Results are expected to provide an in-depth understanding of the specifics of child-rearing concerns of parents with young children.
