On the premise that the cause of errors in the word-initial voiced plosives of German by Korean learners is considered as a negative transference phenomenon of the mother tongue, the purpose of this study is to comparatively analyze the degree of aspiration and VOT of word‐initial voiced plosives of Koreans learning German, and discuss the script plan that can be used in the German language education field. In addition, this study compared and analyzed any deviations between the VOTs of word‐initial voiced plosives of German, Austrian, and Swiss speakers who speak German as their native language.
