온 인류가 직면하고 있는 코로나(covid-19) 사태는 평범한 일상의 변화만이 아니라 지금까지의 우리의 사고체계, 행동양식, 관계 방식을 총체적으로의문에 처하게 하는 도전이 아닐 수 없다. 이 코로나 사태는 또한 우리 교회의 전례와 성사를 속수무책의 상황 속에 빠뜨리기도 했지만, 다른 한편 교회의 존재 이유와 의미에 대한 물음을 새롭게 성찰할 수 있는 기회를 제공한것도 분명하다. 이런 맥락에서 교회의 성사성의 본질과 의미 그리고 그의 구체적 실천을 새롭게 모색하는 것은 의미 있는 일일 것이다. 코로나 상황 속에서 교회가 변화되어야 할 근거는 바로 교회의 종말론적인 본성과 교회의성사성 그 자체로부터 비롯한다. 아울러 교회의 성사성은 무엇보다도 예수그리스도의 인간 구원을 위한 헌신과 가난하고 고통당하는 사람들과의 결합을 위한 변모(말씀이 사람이 되신 육화 그리고 십자가 죽음과 부활로 표명되는 사랑의 헌신으로 이루어진 변모) 속에 뿌리를 두고 있다는 것을 새롭게 확인할 필요가 있다. 교회의 일곱 성사 또한 본질적으로 그리스도인 실존의 변화, 교회와 세상의 변화를 추구한다. 교회의 성사들이 지닌 이러한 변화의 의미를 실현하기 위해서는 그의 구체적 실천에서 예수 그리스도와의인격적 만남과 접촉에 초점이 맞춰져야 할 필요가 있다. 그리스도인은 예수그리스도와의 인격적 만남으로서 그의 존재와 동화(configuratio)되고, 그로서자신의 존재를 타인과 이웃을 위한 성사적인 존재, 무엇보다도 세상의 가장작은이의 성사로 실현하는 데 그 실존의 의미가 있기 때문이다. 아울러 교회와 그리스도인 실존의 정체성은 예수 그리스도의 해방과 구원의 사명을 세상 속에서 실현하는 데서 그 진면목이 드러난다는 것 또한 두말할 나위가없다.
The Covid-19 situation faced by all mankind is not only a change in everyday life, but also a challenge to the question of our thinking system, behavioral styles, and relationships. This corona crisis has also put the liturgy and sacraments of our churches in a helpless situation, but on the other hand, it is also clear that it has provided an opportunity to reflect on the question of the reason and meaning of the church’s existence. In this context, it would be meaningful to explore the nature and meaning of the Church’s sacramentality and its concrete practice newly. The reason for the change of the church in the Corona situation comes from the eschatological nature of the church and the sacramentality of the church itself. In addition, it must be reaffirmed that the sacramental nature of the Church has its roots n the devotion of Jesus Christ for the salvation of mankind and in its transformation for union with the poor and suffering people (transformation consisting of the incarnation of the Word and the devotion of love expressed by the death and resurrection of the cross). The sacraments of the Church also seek essentially the change of Christian existence, the Church and the world. In order to realize the meaning of this change in the sacraments of the Church, it is necessary to focus on the personal encounter and contact with Jesus Christ in his concrete practice. The Christians are assimilated with Jesus Christ through a personal encounter with him, and the meaning of his existence is to realize his existence as a sacramental existence for others and neighbors, and above all, the sacrament of the least of the world. Moreover, it goes without saying that the true identity of the church and Christian existence is revealed in the realization of the mission of the liberation and salvation of Jesus Christ in the world.
