본 연구는 차형은(車亨恩)의 “解放”, 김종우(金鐘宇)의 “高尙智慧”, 김영제(金永濟)의 “人生은 行旅라”를 중심으로 『百牧講演(第一集)』에 나타난 ‘현세의 삶과 내세의 소망’의 관점을 분석하려는 데 목적이 있다. 차형은, 김종우, 김영제의 현세의 삶과 내세의 소망에 관한 핵심적인 논지들은 이 세 편의 설교를 통하여 고찰할 수 있으며 1921년 일제강점기에 출간된 『百牧講演(第一集)』에 발표되었다. ‘현세의 삶과 내세의 소망’과 관련하여 세 편의 설교에 나타난 핵심적인 논점들을 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연계의 압박(壓迫)과 인류가 자초한 압박 등에 역점을 두어 차형은의 ‘현세의 삶’에 관한 논지들을 숙고했다. 둘째, 하나님을 아는 지혜와 하나님의 나라를 소망하는 지혜, 하나님을 아는 지혜와 지상생애를 개척하는 지혜 등에 요점을 두어 김종우의 ‘현세의 삶과 내세의 소망’에 관한 논점들을 살폈다. 셋째, 낙원에서의 삶, 낙원의 상실, 현세의 삶속에서 받는 고통, 영원한 본향에 대한 사모 등에 주안점을 두어 김영제의 ‘내세의 소망’에 관한 논지들을 고찰했다. 넷째, 본 논문에서 천착한 의미심장한 논점들을 바탕으로 현세와 내세를 분리하는 이원론적 사고를 극복하기 위한 노력, 철저한 종말사상 교육 등 오늘날 한국그리스도인들을 계도하기 위한 실천적 모범들을 제시했다.
This paper aims to analyze the views of ‘the life of this world and the hope of the afterlife’ in Sermons by One Hundred Pastors & Teachers, focusing on Hyeong-Eun Cha’s “Liberation”, Jong-U Kim’s “Noble Wisdom”, and Yeong-Je Kim’s “The Life of a Traveler”. Their meaningful views of ‘the life of this world and the hope of the afterlife’ are based on these three sermons published in Sermons by One Hundred Pastors & Teachers published in 1921 under the rule of Japanese imperialism. The prominent points of ‘the life of this world and the hope of the afterlife’ in these three sermons could be summarized as follows: Firstly, the author concentrates on Hyeong-Eun Cha’s views of ‘the life of this world’, focusing on pressure from nature, the pressure that mankind has caused itself, and so on. Secondly, the author deals with Jong-U Kim’s views of ‘the life of this world and the hope of the afterlife’, focusing on ‘the wisdom of knowing God and the wisdom of longing for the kingdom of heaven’, ‘the wisdom of knowing God and the wisdom of pioneering life on earth’, and so on. Thirdly, the author studies Yeong-Je Kim’s views of ‘the hope of the afterlife’, focusing on the life in paradise, the lost of paradise, the suffering of life in this world, longing for eternal native land, and so on. Fourthly, the author proposes practical lessons to today’s Korean Christians on the basis of the significant content of this research such as efforts for overcoming the dualism between this world and afterlife, thorough education on eschatology, and so on.
