이 논의에서는 폴 리쾨르의 해석학 이론을 토대로 독자의 자기 이해를 위한 실천성을고찰한다. 리쾨르의 자기 이해는 ‘나는 누구인가, 나는 무엇을 할 수 있는가, 나는 무엇을 해야 하는가’의 물음에 답할 수 있는 능력으로, 본고에서는 이를 읽기의 목적으로전제한다. 읽기에서 독자의 자기 이해는 실천성을 지닌다. Ⅱ장에서는 실천성의 구조를탐구한다. 첫째, 이야기로서의 실천성은 독자가 텍스트 이해를 통해 자기 이야기를 구성함을 말하며, 이를 통해 이야기 정체성을 형성하는 구조를 취한다. 둘째, 이해 가능성으로서의 실천성은 텍스트 이해에서 은유적으로 드러난 실천적 행위에 대한 약속의 구조이다. 셋째, 책임 가능성으로서의 실천성은 읽기에서 실천적 행위에 대한 책임을 내포한다. Ⅲ장에서는 실천성의 기제를 타자성, 실제성, 일관성, 자율성으로 탐색한다. 타자성은 실천성의 자기 이해가 새로움으로써 실현됨을 말한다. 실제성은 구체적인 삶의 장면속에서 실천적 행위로서의 실천성이다. 일관성은 시간적 측면, 의식적 측면, 관계적 측면에서 실천성의 전개이다. 자율성은 실천성이 독자의 의지에 입각하여 실제적 삶의장면에서 실현됨을 뜻한다. 실천성을 통하여 독자는 텍스트 세계와 자기 세계를 연결하고 자기 세계를 새롭게 형성해나가는 자기 이해를 실현한다.
This study explores the practicality for the reader’s self-understanding focus on Paul Ricoeur’s text hermeneutics. Ricoeur’s self-understanding is the ability to anwer questions such as’who am I, What can I do, What should I do’. In this discussion, it is the purpose of reading. Self-understanding includes the practicality in text reading. Chapter Ⅱ explores the structure of practicality. First, the story as practicality means the reader constructs self story by text understanding. Through this, it has a structure that forms a story identity. Second, the practicality as the possibility of understanding has a structure of commitment to practical actions metaphorically reavealed in text understanding. Third, the practicality as a possibility of responsibility implies responsible for practical actions. Chapter Ⅲ explores the mechanism of practicality as otherness, reality, consistency, and autonomy. Otherness means that practicality of self-understanding is realized by being new. Reality indicates that practicality is realized as a practical act in a specific life scene. Consistency develops in terms of time, consciousness, and relationship. Autonomy means that prcticality is implemented in a practical life scene based on the will of the reader. Practicality allows the reader to realizes self-understanding by connecting the text world and the self-world and forming a new self-world.
