본 연구는 생명과학과 다른 여러 교과를 생명 및 생명과학 기술이라는 학습 주제로 융합한 수업을 통해 고등학생의 생명윤리의식과 과학적 태도가 어떻게 달라지는지 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 연구목적을 위해 바이오아트를 활용한 생명 탐구 융합교육 프로그램을 개발하고 이를 수업에 적용하여 고등학생의 생명윤리의식과 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향을 질적연구방법과 양적연구방법을 혼합하여 분석하였다. 세종특별자치시의 B고등학교 학생들을 대상으로 생명 탐구 융합교육 프로그램을 진행하고 이들의 생명윤리의식과 과학적 태도를 측정하였다. 그리고 융합교육 프로그램 만족도 평가와 학생들의 개별 인터뷰를 추가로 진행했다. 연구 결과, 생명윤리의식과 과학적 태도는 사전 검사보다 융합교육 프로그램을 적용한 사후 검사에서 더 높은 점수를 보여 바이오아트를 활용한 생명 탐구 융합교육 프로그램은 고등학생의 생명윤리의식과 과학적 태도 함양에 긍정적인 영향을 준 것으로 판단된다. 융합교육 프로그램에 대한 만족도 평가 결과는 모든 항목이 매우 높은 긍정을 나타내는 4.5점과 비교하여 유의미한 차이를 보이지 않았기 때문에 프로그램 자체의 흥미와 구성내용 모두 부족함은 없는 것으로 판단된다. 또한 학생별 인터뷰 내용을 바탕으로 프로그램을 보완했다. 따라서 고등학교 교육활동에 바이오아트를 활용한 생명 탐구 융합교육 프로그램을 적용한다면 고등학생의 생명윤리의식과 과학적 태도가 함양되고 증진될 것으로 판단된다.
The purpose of this study is to find out how high school students’ biological ethics and scientific attitudes change through classes that combine bioscience and various subjects on the topic of life and life sciences technology. For this research purpose, a life inquiry convergence education program using Bio-art was developed and applied to classes to analyze the impact of high school students on bio-ethics consciousness and scientific attitudes by mixing qualitative and quantitative research methods. Life inquiry convergence education program was conducted for B high school students in Sejong Special Self-Governing City, and their bioethical awareness and scientific attitude were measured. In addition, satisfaction evaluation of the convergence education program and individual interviews were conducted. As a result of the study, bioethical consciousness and scientific attitude showed higher scores in the post-test that applied the convergence education program than in the pre-test. It is judged that the life inquiry convergence education program using Bio-art had a positive effect on the cultivation of high school students' bioethical awareness and scientific attitude. The results of the satisfaction evaluation of the convergence education program did not show a significant difference compared to 4.5 points, which showed very high positivity, so it is judged that there is no shortage of interest and composition of the program itself. In addition, the program was supplemented based on the interview contents of each student. Therefore, if the life inquiry convergence education program using Bio-art is applied to high school educational activities, it is judged that the bioethical awareness and scientific attitude of high school students will be cultivated and promoted.
