본 연구는 북한이탈주민 기독교 통일 선교사들의 통일 의미와 본질에 대한 현상학적 연구(Phenomenological research methods)이다. 연구의 수행 목적은 북한이탈주민들이 구성한 통일의 의미와 본질 구조를 살펴보고 이에 근거하여 교회 공동체의 통일운동을 모색하고 제언하는 것이다. 연구에는 9명의 북한이탈주민 기독교 통일 운동가들이 참여하였다. 자료는 연구참여자들과 일대일 심층면담을 진행하여 구성하였다. 자료의 분석과 기술은 합의적 질적연구(consensual qualitative research, CQR) 모델을 채택하였고 지오르기(Giorgi, 2009)가 제시한 현상학적 자료분석 절차에 따랐다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 원자료를 분석한 결과 37개의 하위 구성요소와 8개의 구성요소가 도출되었다. 구성요소는 디아스포라의 영광의 귀환, 평화와 공존의 철학 발상지, 거대 내수 시장의 신천지, 미래 성장 동력의 확보, 민족의 동질성 회복, 이념의 정분합적 통합, 유라시아 꿈의 시원, 평화 수호의 무력 국가로 나타났다. 연구결과의 논의를 바탕으로 교회공동체가 중심이 된 체제 극복의 사회교육, 북한이탈주민들의 통일운동 활동가의 양성, 남북한 기독교인들의 신앙공동체 활동과 이를 매개로 한 초교파 차원에서의 통일 운동에 대해 제언을 하였다.
This study is a phenomenological research method on the meaning and essence of unification of Christian unification missionaries who defected from North Korea. The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning and essential structure of unification formed by North Korean defectors, and to seek and propose a reunification movement of the church community based on this. Nine Christian unification activists who defected from North Korea participated in the study. The data were constructed by conducting one-on-one in-depth interviews with the study participants. A consensus qualitative research(CQR) model was adopted for data analysis and description, and the phenomenological data analysis procedure suggested by Giorgi(2009) was followed. The research results are as follows. The analysis of the raw data derived 37 sub-components and 8 components. The components are ‘the glorious return of diaspora, the birthplace of the philosophy of peace and coexistence, a new world in the huge domestic market, the securing of future growth engines, the restoration of national homogeneity, the cohesive integration of ideologies, the origin of the Eurasian dream, and the armed state to protect peace.’ Discussions were conducted based on the research results, and suggestions were presented including the social education for overcoming the system centered on the church community, cultivating North Korean defectors to reunification activists, South and North Korean Christian community activities, and using this as a medium, suggestions for the unification movement at the interdenominational level.
