중국 조선족이란 19세기 말, 20세기 초에 한반도에서 중국으로 이주해 온 조선인, 또는 그 후예들 가운데서 중국에서 국적을 취득한 사람을 가리키고, 중국 조선족 문화란 그들이 한반도에서 이주할 때, 가지고 온 문화와 그 후, 중국에서 생활하면서 새롭게 창조한 여러 가지 문화, 즉 중국의 실정에 맞게 형성된 물질문화, 제도문화, 행위문화와 정신문화를 말한다. 이를테면, 중국 조선족은 중국에 이주해 온 후, 주로 농업생산에 종사하면서 도작농경생활을 기반으로 한 여러 가지 제도와 행위규범 및 정신문화를 창출하였는데 이것을 중국조선족 문화라고 할 수 있다. 그러나 중국의 개혁･개방을 계기로, 중국 조선족 문화는 여러 가지 면에서 준엄한 도전에 직면하고 있으며 글로벌 시대에 들어 전례없는 거대한 도전에 직면하고 있다. 최근에 일부 학자들이 지적하고 있는 “중국 조선족 문화 위기”란 바로 이것을 지적하는 것이다. 개혁･개방은 중국 조선족 문화에 상당한 변화를 가져다주었고 이것을 통해 중국 조선족은 경제적인 풍요를 비롯하여 국제적인 안목, 시장 의식과 기타 여러 가지 새로운 관념과 의식들을 얻었다. 그러나 그것은 문제의 한 측면, 다른 한 측면에서 이 역사적인 “도전”에서 중국 조선족들은 많은 전통적인 우세를 상실하고 있는데 거기에는 전통적인 농업, 전통적인 인구우세, 전통적인 민족문화우세와 우리 민족의 고유한 진취심 등이 망라되어 있다. 이것은 글로벌 시대 중국 조선족 문화가 시급해 해결해야 할 문제로 중국 조선족 문화는 이 도전에서 얻은 것을 잘 이용하여 중국 조선족 문화의 역사적인 도약을 이룩해야 한다.
Korean-Chinese refers to Korean people who migrated from the Korean Peninsula to China or their descendants who acquired Chinese nationality in China from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The Korean-Chinese culture refers to the various cultures newly created in China on the basis of the culture they brought when they migrated from the Korean Peninsula, including their material culture, system culture, behavior culture and spiritual culture. For example, the agricultural production of the Korean-Chinese in China on this land and the various institutional forms, code of conduct and spiritual culture based on this agricultural production can be called Korean-Chinese culture.However, since China's reform and opening up, it has been faced with severe challenges from various aspects, and the challenges from the age of globalization are unprecedented.Now some people refer to this “cultural crisis” as the crisis of Korean-Chinese culture.In this “crisis”, Korean-Chinese culture has lost many traditional things and traditional advantages, such as traditional agriculture, traditional population advantages, traditional national cultural advantages and various cultural enterprising spirit. However, in the face of this historic challenge, the Korean-Chinese culture has calmly responded. While losing some traditional advantages, it has gained economic wealth, international perspective, market awareness and new ideas. This is a cultural basis for the resurgence of Korean-Chinese culture in the new situation. It is on this basis that the Korean-Chinese culture calmly responds to various challenges, reappears the glorious style of the past, and achieves a historic leap forward.
