This study aims to verify the mediating effect of digital device utilization performance in the between the use of digital device information(PC and mobile) and life satisfaction for middle-aged and elderly people. In this study, “2020 Digital Devide Survey”data collected by the National Information Society Agency was used, 2,300 subjects were studied, targeting middle aged and elderly people aged 55 or older. As the analysis data, a hierarchical regression analysis by Baron & Kenny (1986) was performed using the SPSS 25.0 statistical package. As a result of hierarchical regression analysis, it was found that mobile-based digital device utilization capabilities had a positive (+) effect in life satisfaction, but PC-based digital device utilization capabilities was not significant in life satisfaction. In addition, the effect of digital device utilization performance on life satisfaction was found to have a statistically significant positive (+) effect as a mediating effect on mobile-based digital device utilization. The results of this study showed that the mobile digital device usage capability is linked to the digital device usage capability, and the mobile-based digital device usage capability is more suitable for the digital device usage and life satisfaction.
