The last paragraph indicates that everything has a time, and if that time is not met, he will join hands with a friend and live a secluded life. The second poem is divided into two paragraphs. The first paragraph describes a situation in which the poet compares himself to a noble steed and becomes unable to show his talents. In he second paragraph, the world‘s doctrine keeps changing and creates an uncertain future, so the poet hopes another person will help and lead him. The third poem is also divided into two paragraphs. The second paragraph discusses the hope that Wang Zhongchen will choose him. The fourth poem is the longest, divided into five paragraphs. The first paragraph states that Gao Wu(高五)’s reputation is just as high as Wei Shu(魏舒)’s. The second paragraph expresses how Li Bai lives in poverty as he could not achieve resonance. In the third paragraph, Gao Wu comes to say farewell, but Li Bai regrets it as he is in need and the offered hospitality isn’t up to his standards. In the fourth paragraph, Li Bai says that he is resentful because his life is too tiring and difficult. However, he has no one to complain to, so his sad life is like a floating cloud and his existence is akin to a strand of hair. In the last paragraph, Li Bai expresses one's feelings of separation, and he wishes Gao Wu well will achieve resonance.
