이 연구에서는 글로벌 OTT 플랫폼인 넷플릭스를 기반으로 하여 한국적인 형태의 SF를성공적으로 구현한 <승리호>와 <고요의 바다>를 통해 현대 한국 SF 서사의 특성을 읽어내고자 하였다. 그 중에서도 특히 포스트휴먼의 형상화 과정과 정체성 수립 과정을 명확히 분석하고 그 안에서 나타나는 문제들을 확인하는 데에 초점을 맞추었다. 2장에서는 우선 <승리호>와 <고요의 바다>의 서사구조를 분석하고, 그 안에서 포스트휴먼의 역할을 확인하였다. 둘 다 미래의 지구를 아포칼립스적으로 그려내는 비관적인 인식을 보이면서 또한 이들은 인류의 구원자로서 포스트휴먼을 등장시킨다. 그리고 그들을 구해내기 위해 정체성 부여의 작업이 요구되었다. 3장에서는 <승리호>와 <고요의 바다>가 포스트휴먼을 자신들의 세계로 포섭시키기 위해 선택한 방법인 유사가족주의의구체적인 양상과 한계를 확인하였다. 결국 이들은 포스트휴먼이 미래 사회를 위한 대안이 될 것이라는 인식을 하면서도 그들을 어떠한 존재로 대해야 하는가에 대해서는 여전히 고민이 필요하다는 것을 보여주고 있다. 포스트휴머니즘 논의는 현대 사회의 주요 과제이며, SF는 이러한 논의를 지속하게 하는 힘을 가진 장르이다. 현재 한국 SF가 보여주는 문제들을 분석하는 것은 미래의 올바른 포스트휴머니즘 정립을 위한 중요한 일이 될 것이다.
In this study, we tried to read the characteristics of modern Korean SF narratives through <Space Sweepers> and <Th e Silent Sea>, which successfully implemented Korean-style SF based on Netfl ix, a global OTT platform. In particular, we focused on clearly analyzing the process of shaping the post-human and establishing identity, and identifying the problems within it. Chapter 2 fi rst analyzed the narrative structure of <Space Sweepers> and <Th e Silent Sea>. Th ey present the post-human as the savior who will save the future apocalyptic Earth, and they needed to give them an identity that we can accept. In Chapter 3, they confi rmed the method they chose to embrace post-humans into their world as the quasi-family. Furthermore, it fails to give the post-human a their own identity, and leads to a disappointing ending. Discussion of post-humanism is a major task of modern society, and SF is a genre that has the power to continue these discussions. Analyzing the problems of Korean SF today will be an important task for establishing a proper post-humanism in the future.
