코로나19의 세계적 확산 이후 갑작스럽게 시행된 온라인 예배에서 드러난 교회음악 운영의 문제점을 진단하고 대안을 모색한다. 적극적인 참여가 어려운 온라인 예배에서 회중은 예배에 적극적으로 참여하기 보다는 수동적으로 “관람”하게 되고 회중 찬송 부르기는 “함께 찬송하기”의 아름다운 감격과 의미를 누리는 것이 매우 어려운 상황이다. 음향 장비와 온라인 송출의 문제도 있다. 교회는 예배에 대한 인식과 교육, 교회음악 담당자의 전문성, 회중 찬송에 대한 교육이 필요함을 절감하게 되었다. 또한, 온라인 예배에서 주의해야 할 마이크 사용법의 숙지, 교회음 악과 음향을 위한 전문가의 채용 또는 교육, 그리고 예배와 찬송을 위한 교육이 필요하다. 본 연구를 통하여 더욱 의미 있는 회중 찬송 부르기를 위해 찬양 인도자나 음향 담당자가 고려해야 할 음향과 마이크 사용법 등을 제안한다. 예배에 대한 강조뿐 아니라 예배의 내용에 대한 이해와 교육도 중요하다. 의미를 알고 참여할 때예배의 감격은 더 커질 것이다. 목회자와 예배 순서의 담당자, 그리고 교회 구성원의 협의는 잘 준비된 예배와 구성원의 소속감 향상에도 도움이 된다. 교회음악 담당자는 현장 예배와 더불어 온라인 상황에 대한 대비가 필요하다. 온라인의 음향 이나 전송 상태를 지속해서 확인하여 성도들의 예배에 방해가 되지 않도록 해야 한다. 무엇보다, 예배에 대한 열정과 책임을 갖고 오직 하나님의 영광을 위하여 연구하고 준비해야 하겠다.
It is necessary to diagnose the limitations of church music, which emerged in online worship suddenly implemented after the global spread of COVID-19 and seek alternatives. During online worship where active participation is difficult, the congregation passively “watches” rather than actively participating in worship. It is also difficult for the congregation to feel the blessing of “singing together” in hymn singing. Additional problems with sound equipment and online transmission also arises. It is necessary to learn the effective use of microphones, which is very sensitive for online transmission. Churches should consider hiring or educating professional church musicians and sound specialist, and educating the congregation for online worship service and hymn singing. For more meaningful congregational singing, this research studies how to use the sound equipment and microphones that should be considered by musicians and sound managers in churches. It is important not only to emphasize worship itself, but also to understand and educate the contents of worship. Understanding the meaning of worship will certainly enhance the participation of the congregation. Consultation between the pastors, worship leaders, and other members of the church helps prepare the worship better and strengthen the members’ sense of belonging. Church musicians need to check the sound and/or the transmission status of the online service so that it does not interfere with the worshipers. Above all, the church musicians should study and prepare with passion and responsibility for worship for the glory of God.
