본 연구에서는 안현의와 안창규(2017)가 성격 5요인을 측정하기 위해 개발한 NEO 성인용 성격 검사의 단축형을 구성하고자 하였다. 먼저 단축형 문항 구성을 위해 대학생을 대상으로 NEO 성인용 성격 검사를 실시하여 확인적 요인 분석을 진행하였으며, 요인별로 요인 부하량이 가장 높은 5개의 문항을 추출하여 안면 타당도를 확인하였다. 추출된 단축형 문항의 내적 합치도는 .80∼.91 범위에 속해 있어 검사의 신뢰도가 검증되었다. 다음으로 단축형 문항에 대한 확인적 요인 분석을 실시한 결과 모검사와 단축형 검사가 모두 동일한 5요인 구조임을 확인하였다. 마지막으로 단축형 검사와 유사한 구성 개념을 포함한 NEO-FFI 및 K-PID-5-SF 검사와 단축형 검사의 상관 관계 분석을 통해 수렴 및 공존 타당도 역시 확보하였다. 본 연구를 통해 최종적으로 NEO 성인용 성격 검사를 구성하는 하위 요인의 특성을 가장 적절하게 반영하는 단축형 검사 25문항을 선별하였으며, 향후 임상 현장과 BIG 5 성격 관련 연구에서 단축형 검사가 다양하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
This study attempted to form a short version of the NEO-Adult-Personality Assessment System(NEO-Adult-PAS), developed by Ahn and Ahn(2017) to measure the five factors of personality traits. First, in order to extract some items for the short version, a confirmatory factor analysis was conducted through testing NEO-Adult-PAS on university students. And the validity was confirmed by extracting the five items with the highest factor loadings for each factor. As the cronbach’s α of the short form was in the range of .80∼.91, the reliability of the test was verified. And it was proved that both the original and the short form of NEO-Adult-PAS have the same five factor structure. The convergent and concurrent validity was also confirmed through correlation analysis between K-PID-5-SF, NEO-FFI and NEO-Adult-PAS. By this study, 25 items for the short form are selected, appropriately reflecting the characteristics of the sub-factors of the NEO-Adult-PAS.
