본 연구는 하이데거와 가다머를 중심으로 한 존재론적인 해석학과 포퍼와 한스 알베르트를 중심으로 한 비판적 합리주의를 비교 고찰하는 것을 목표하고 있다. 존재론적 해석학과 비판적 합리주의를 상세하게 비교 연구한 사람으로는 한스 알베르트 정도가 있을 뿐이다. 그러나 그의 연구는 지나치게 비판적 합리주의에 경도되어 있어서 양자를 제대로 비교하고 있지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 존재론적인 해석학에 대한 알베르트의 비판을 ‘비판적으로’ 검토하는 방식으로 존재론적 해석학과 비판적 합리주의의 유사성과 차이 그리고 각각의 통찰과 한계에 대해 고찰하고자 한다. 본 연구는 크게 세 논문으로 이루어질 것이며, 첫 번째 논문인 본 논문에서는 일단 양자의 문제의식을 고찰한 후 과학관과 언어관을 비교하고 있다. 본 논문은 존재론적 해석학에 대한 알베르트의 비판이 존재론적 해석학에 대한 몰이해에 입각해 있다는 사실을 드러내면서, 존재론적 해석학의 문제의식과 사상적 내용을 제대로 드러내는 것과 동시에 비판적 합리주의와 존재론적 해석학의 차이점을 분명히 제시하려고 했다. 또한 양자 사이에 존재하는 공통점을 드러냄으로써 양자 사이의 생산적 대화가 가능하다는 사실을 밝히려고 했다.
This study aims to examine and compare the ontological hermeneutics centered on Heidegger and Gadamer and the critical rationalism centered on Popper and Hans Albert. Only Hans Albert conducted a detailed comparative study of the ontological hermeneutics and the critical rationalism, however, his research is too biased toward the critical rationalism. This present study examines the similarities and differences between the ontological hermeneutics and the critical rationalism, as well as the insights and limitations of each, in a way that critiques Albert’s criticisms of the ontological hermeneutics. This study comprises three papers, and this paper - the first paper - examines the fundamental issues of the ontological hermeneutics and the critical rationalism and compares their views on science and language. This paper reveals that Albert’s criticism of the ontological hermeneutics is based on a lack of understanding of the ontological hermeneutics. At the same time this paper attempts to reveal the issue and the contents of the ontological hermeneutics and to clearly present the difference between the ontological hermeneutics and the critical rationalism. Additionally it reveals the commonalities that exist between them in oder to reveal that productive dialogue between them is possible.
