본 연구는 디지털 전환 시대를 살아가는 발달장애인을 위한 디지털 기술 개발과 지원을 탐색하기 위해 수행되었다. 발달장애인 부모와 현장전문가의 경험과 인식을 통해 발달장애인이 디지털 전환 시대에 적절하게 적응하면서 전환해가도록 지원하기 위해 요구되는 기대와 고려사항들을 고찰하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 발달장애인 부모, 발달장애인 평생교육 현장전문가를 대상으로 초점집단면담을 실시하였다. 면담내용을 분석한 결과 발달장애인의 디지털 기술 활용 동기, 디지털 기술 활용 경험, 디지털 기술 활용에 대한 인식, 디지털 기술 개발 및 지원 요구라는 4개의 대주제를 도출하였다. 4개의 대주제는 각 2개의 범주로 구성되었는데, 디지털 기술 활용 동기는 내적 동기화와 외적 동기화로, 디지털 기술 활용 경험은 유용성과 한계점으로, 디지털 기술 활용에 대한 인식은 기대와 고민, 디지털 기술 개발 및 지원 요구는 특수성과 보편성이라는 범주를 도출하였다. 각 주제의 의미와 시사점은 주제에 대한 논의를 이끈 집단과 연계하여 연구 논의에서 제시하였으며, 마지막으로 발달장애인을 위한 디지털 기술 활용에 대한 현장 및 후속 연구 제언을 하였다.
The purpose of this study was to explore the development and support of digital technology for people with developmental disabilities living in the era of digital transformation. The researchers tried to examine the needs and considerations needed to support the developmental disabled to transition while appropriately adapting to the changes of the times. To this end, focus group interviews were conducted for parents with developmental disabilities and field experts on lifelong education for developmental disabilities. As a result of analyzing the interview data, four major themes were derived: motivation for using digital technology, experience of using digital technology, awareness on using digital technology, and demand for digital technology development and support. The four major themes were divided into two categories each: motivation using digital technology, the experience of using digital technology, and the perception on using digital technology, and the need for digital technology development and support is specificity and universality. The meaning and implications of each topic were described in the research discussion in connection with the response group to the topic. Finally, suggestions for the field of using digital technology for the developmental disabilities and follow-up research were presented.
