Memes, which were used by a small number of netizens, can now be easily followed by anyone through the mass media called SNS. It is time to discuss this meme phenomenon and the issues that need to be redefined in the fields of translation and foreign language education. This is because it is possible to provide a new perspective on the convergence research of translation, linguistics, and humanities if we understand and study the mechanism by which meaning is generated in internet memes and transmit information. Translation studies, along with linguistic memes, help adapt humans as organisms to cultural communities for the coexistence and reciprocity of languages ​​in the world. As AI and SNS rapidly spread and spread, the MZ generation needs to study the nature of language and meme translation in the educational field due to the use of short language that is improvised or transient and responds quickly to stimuli. Therefore, understanding the MZ generation through the rapidly spreading linguistics memes in the AI ​​era that started as a pandemic can greatly contribute to cultural translation in the global era. Along with this, memes can be extended to social, ability education and cultural translation in Korea. It will be able to contribute to convergence education and research.
