이 논문은 황해도 굿을 하는 이정자 만신을 중심으로 맥아더라는 실존인물을 몸주로 섬기는 실제를 살펴서 연구한 것이다. 맥아더라고 하는 인물이 어떻게 만신에게 위안을 주고, 몸주로 섬겨지면서 온당하게 신격으로 대접받는 것을 연구하였다. 이정자만신에게 있어서 맥아더는 자신의 외로움을 달래주는 특별한 존재이다. 인천의 자유공원에서 신내림의 현상을 겪으면서 헤매일 때에 맥아더 동상은 크나 큰 위안이 되었다. 이후에 신내림의 여러 증후를 겪으면서 기독교도로 귀의하였다가 다시 무속의 세계로 되돌아오는 일을 반복하였다. 이 글에서는 맥아더 장군을 황해도 굿 어디에서 섬기게 되는지 구체적인 굿거리와 절차 속에서 이를 살피면서 가장 중요한 절차를 분할할 수 있었다. 황해도 굿의 초가망과 초부정거리에서 옷차림자차림으로 선을 보이고 본격적인 굿거리는 장군거리에서 놀아지는 것을 확인하였다. 장군거리에서 이순신장군, 중국의 사신장군, 그리고 미국의 맥아더 장군을 차례대로 놀아지는 구조를 찾게 되었다. 그것은 달리 말한다면 일정한 거리에서 특징적인 면모를 구현하고 맥아더 특유의 선글라스와 담뱃대, 그리고 장군 복색으로 꼽히는 잠바와 군복이 인상적인 놀이의 수단으로 쓰이는 것을 보게 된다. 이와 같은 예증은 황해도 굿의 역동성을 찾을 수 있는 적절한 예증이 되는 점을 알 수가 있겠다. 무속의 현장에서 발견되는 무속 자체의 역동성과 다양성을 찾을 수가 있으며, 현장에서 굿을 하는 만신과 만신을 보좌하는 단골이 적절한 관계를 유지하면서 입체적인 관계 속에서 굿의 전통을 지키면서도 혁신하는 것임을 알게 된다. 그러한 점에서 맥아더를 섬기는 굿의 전통은 단순하지 않으며, 인천이나 황해도 전통 속에서 장군신을 섬기는 과정에서 일정한 의의를 가진 점을 입증할 수 있었다.
This paper is a study of the reality of serving a real person named MacArthur, centering on Lee Jeong-ja Manshin, who performs the shamanistic ritual of Hwanghae-do. He studied how a character named MacArthur comforted the special shaman deity and was treated as a deity in a decent manner while serving as a body leader. For Lee Jung-ja, MacArthur is a special being to soothe his loneliness. The statue of MacArthur was a great comfort during the haemae period as it experienced the phenomenon of a new descent at Jayu Park in Incheon. Afterwards, he repeatedly returned to Christianity and returned to the world of shamanism through various symptoms of Sinnae-rim. In this article, we were able to divide the most important procedures by examining the specific exorcism and procedures where General MacArthur will serve in the Hwanghae-do Gut. It was confirmed that Chogamang and Chobujeonggeori of Hwanghae-do Gut were shown in clothes, and that the full-fledged Gutgeori was played in Janggungeori. On Janggungeori, we found a structure in which Admiral Yi Sun-sin, General Sassin of China, and General MacArthur of the United States were played one after another. In other words, it embodies a characteristic aspect at a certain distance and sees MacArthur's signature sunglasses, tobacco sticks, and jamba and military uniforms, which are considered general colors, are used as impressive means of play. It can be seen that such an example is an appropriate example to find the dynamics of Hwanghae-do Gut. You can find the dynamics and diversity of the shamanism itself found in the scene of shamanism, and you can find that the regulars who support the deity and deity performing the rite maintain an appropriate relationship and innovate while maintaining the tradition of the rite in a three-dimensional relationship. In this regard, the tradition of Gut, which serves MacArthur, is not simple, and it was possible to prove that it had certain significance in the process of serving the general deity in the tradition of Incheon or Hwanghae-do.
