근대문화유산 관광지는 시대적 의미를 지닌 역사성 있는 장소이자 생활공간과 밀접한 연관이 있으며, 최근 많은 관광자들이 주목하는 관광지이다. 현대인들은 바쁜 일상 속에서 느끼는 불안감, 외로움 등 부정적 감정에서 벗어나 진정성 있는 삶을 살기를 원하며, 관광 활동을 통해 잠시나마 일탈을 경험함으로써 활력을 되찾고 일상을 회복한다. 관광자들은 유산 관광지가 지닌 고유한 정취와 역사적 가치를 지각하고 체험함으로써 진정성을 경험하는데, 이러한 현상을 학술적으로 규명하기 위해 근대문화유산 관광자의 지각된 진정성과 체험 및 실존적 진정성 간 영향 관계를 실증적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 지각된 진정성은 근대문화유산 관광지를 방문한 관광자들이 주관적으로 평가하는 역사적 사실 기반의 진위 여부, 전통성 등과 같이 객관적 진정성에 대한 진정성 지각이며 실존적 진정성은 관광 경험을 통해 나타나는 관광대상과 개인의 주관적 상호 교류의 정서적 측면에 대한 판단이다. 이 연구를 위해 군산시의 근대문화유산 관광지를 방문한 관광자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행했으며, 330부 중 289부를 실증분석에 사용하였다. 회귀분석을 통한 가설 검증 결과는 다음과 같다. 지각된 진정성은 체험에 긍정적 영향을 나타냈으며, 체험 요인은 실존적 진정성을 높여주는 것으로 확인되었다. 마지막으로 지각된 진정성은 실존적 진정성에 영향력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 인지 체험과 관계 체험의 부분매개효과도 검증되었다. 연구결과를 토대로 근대문화유산의 관광자원화를 추진하고 있는 실무 담당자들에게 관광지의 진정성 확보를 위한 정책적 노력과 실존적 진정성을 강화시킬 수 있는 체험 콘텐츠 구성에 대한 실무적 시사점을 제언한다. 궁극적으로 유산 관광의 질적 성장을 도모하고 관광 환경 변화에 유용한 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다.
Tourists are increasingly interested in modern cultural heritage sites because they have historical significance and engage living spaces from everyday life. People nowadays seek an authentic life to liberate themselves from negative emotions. Tourists recover from them and live with vitality in everyday life after participating in a tourism experience. Tourists who visit heritage sites are affected by authenticity. This study aimed to investigate the impact of perceived authenticity, experience, and existential authenticity on modern cultural heritage sites in order to better understand this phenomenon. Perceived authenticity was defined specifically as perceived judgment based on objective authenticity. Furthermore, the researcher established the hierarchy for them in the context of the experience perceived by on-site visitors. The research site was Gunsan's cultural heritage sites, and a questionnaire survey was used. The total number of questionnaires collected was 330, and 289 were analyzed. Regression analysis confirmed the effect of variable relationships and the partial mediating effect of experience. This study employed empirical analysis to assess perceived authenticity. It academically constructs and expands on previously limited concepts. Based on the findings, this study provides practical recommendations for improving existential authenticity and experiential tourism content. Finally, the qualitative growth of heritage tourism and change can provide meaningful implications.
