본 연구는 가정폭력맥락에서의 빚과 빚짐에 대한 보다 포괄적인 논의를 위한 시론적 연구이다. 가정폭력과 빚에 관한 선행연구는 극소수만 존재하며 가정폭력의 원인으로서의 빚에 대해 구명하거나 가해자에 의한 강요된 빚에 관해 소개하는 것으로 제한되어 있다. 본 연구는 가정폭력과 빚에 관한 국내외 선행연구의 결과를 종합하는 문헌연구 방법으로 수행되었다. 연구 결과, 가정폭력맥락에서의 빚과 빚짐에 대하여, 자본의 경제적 착취, 빚과 관련한 부정적 정서, 상호의존과 상호유대로서의 빚짐, 삶･사랑･보살핌으로써의 빚짐을 중심으로 논의를 확장하였다. 본 연구는 가정폭력맥락에서의 빚에 대한 논의를 미시적 경제적 분석을 넘어 거시적 영역 및 정동 영역으로 확장하여 전개하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
This study is an introductory study on debt and indebtedness in the context of domestic violence. Existing studies on domestic violence and debt is limited to finding out debt as a cause of domestic violence or explaining debt coerced by the abusers. More comprehensive explanations on debt in the context of domestic violence is needed. Issues of debt and indebtedness in the context of domestic violence were discussed in relation to the economic exploitation in the capitalist system, negative emotions related to debt, debt as interdependence and social bond, and debt as life, love, and care. It is meaningful that this study tried to expand the discussion on debt and indebtedness in the context of domestic violence to the areas of affect beyond the micro and economic system.
