· 연구 주제: 본 연구에서는 정치･경제적 양극화와 사회갈등 등의 국가적 내부 현안문제를 해결하면서 우리 모두의 이익이 실현될 수 있도록 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 적용가능성 모색을 시도하였다. 본 연구주제는 첫째, 홍익인간 사상의 성통･공완 수행과 법률･제도 등을 포함하는 재세이화의 실천방법은 무엇인가? 둘째, 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 실현방법을 어떻게 구상할 수 있는가? 셋째, 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 적용가능성을 어떻게 모색할 수 있을 것인가? 등이다. · 연구 배경: 민주화시기 이후 여러 정부에서 각각 국정운영의 비전과 정치방향을 제시하기는 하였으나, 성공적 국가발전모델로 연계되지 못한 것으로 분석되었다. 이에 국내외에서 많은 학자들이 많은 논문에서 개인 사이, 국가 간, 민족 간 및 인종 간의 다양한 현안문제에 대해 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 적용이 가능하다고 주장하고 있는 점에 착안하여 본 분석을 시도한 것이다. · 선행연구와의 차이점: 선행연구에서 홍익인간의 개념 정의나 재세이화에 관한 성격을 고찰한 데 비해, 본 연구는 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 실현방법과 적용가능성을 모색하는 점에 차별성의 특징이 있다. · 연구방법: 본 연구방법은 홍익인간 사상에 대한 현대적 실천방법 설명과 홍익인간의 범주별 상대관계 고려 등을 바탕으로, 재세이화의 실천 차원과 홍익인간 관점의 실천적 시행 측면에서 실현방법 구상 및 인구통계학적 특성을 고려한 적용가능성 등으로 접근하는 것이다. · 연구결과: 본 연구에서는 홍익인간 사상에 대한 현대적 성통·공완 수행과 재세이화의 실천방법 제시, 재세이화의 실천 차원과 홍익인간 관점의 실천적 적용 및 시행 측면의 실현방법 구상과, 도덕적 책임감의 자각으로 차별이 없도록 인구통계학적 상대관계에서 차별 없이 고려할 수 있는 적용가능성을 모색하였다. · 공헌점 및 기대효과: 결론적으로 본 연구는 먼저, 홍익인간 사상에 대한 현대적 실천방법의 고찰과 홍익인간의 다양한 상대관계의 제시에 따라 인간이념의 측면에서 홍익인간 사상의 현대적 실현 가능성을 보여주었다. 다음, 홍익인간 사상의 정치이념 측면에서 현대 국정운영의 적용가능성을 모색함으로써, 본 연구는 정치·경제·사회 등의 여러 영역에서 향후 확산적으로 실현 및 적용할 수 있는 가능성을 열어준 점에 학술적 기여의 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.

· Research topics: We tried to find the modern applicability of Hongik-Ingan(弘益人間)’s thought. The same research topic was set to achieve this objective. There are three topics in this paper. First, what is the practice method of completion of the enlightenment and its execution(性通･功完) and Jaese-Iwha(在世理化) including laws, institutions about the thought? Second, how can the modern realization framework of the thought be conceived? Third, how can we explore the modern applicability of the thought? · Research background: After democratization, it was analyzed that although several governments presented the vision and direction of governance of state administration, they were not linked to a national development model. However, we attempted this study based on the paper that many scholars at home and abroad argue that the modern application of the thought is possible to various pending issues between individuals, countries, ethnicities, and races. · Differences from prior research: While previous studies have considered the definition of Hongik-Ingan’s concept or the nature of Jaese-Iwha, this paper is characterized by differences in that it seeks the modern realization framework and applicability of Hongik-Ingan’s thought. · Research method: Based on the explanation of modern practice methods for Hongik-Ingan’s thought and consideration of relative relations by the human’s category, this paper approaches the practical implementation of Hongik-Ingan’s perspective and the applicability considering demographic characteristics. · Research results: The main findings sought applicability considering the demographic characteristics of the thought without discrimination in terms of explanation of modern practices for the thought, practical application and implementation of Jaese-Ihwa’s perspective. · Contribution points and expected effects: In conclusion, this paper first demonstrated the modern feasibility of the thought in terms of human ideology, following the consideration of modern practices for the thought and the presentation of various relative relationships between the thought. Next, we sought the applicability of modern state administration in terms of the governing ideology of the thought. This paper is meaningful in that it has opened up the possibility of spreading realization and application in various areas such as politics, economy, and society in the future.
