This article explored the views of Christian spiritual of the Christian community’s view on women and sexual identity. The discussion showed the following characteristics. First, the sexual discourse of the ancient and desert fathers is one of the spiritual exercises and disciplines in trying to imitate the life of Jesus Christ. Second, the sexual discourse of the ancient and desert fathers contains significant spiritual meanings. Third, even though the Christian church built a public system against evil desires and spiritual sin, it is evident that sexual problems among monks and the Christian daily life exist in various forms. Fourth, sexual discourses are described mainly from the male’s perspective during the ancient times. Nowadays, issues involving human sexuality and spirituality require three points of theological views and reflections. First, it is critical to recognize the authentic meaning of eros, i.e., it stems from the relationship God and human beings that extends to neighborly love. Second, discussing human beings and sexuality requires proper understanding and reflection of love. Third, the topic of human beings and love necessitates a fresh understanding of problems in human way of life that emerge both in the real world and the cyber world. This study concludes with a teaching from the Bible which says that it is not true that there is a separation of the spiritual and physical body in humans. Hence, humans must keep their whole being—spirit, soul, and body—free from any fault at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thess 5:23).
