본 연구는 보호종료아동이 취업을 준비하는 과정에서 겪게 된 경험에 대해서 탐색하였다. 이를 위해 보호종료 이후 취업에 경험이 있는 9명을 대상으로 질적 연구를 진행하였다. 분석 결과 8개의 주범주, 하위범주 24개로 도출되었고, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 퇴소 전과 퇴소 후에도 실질적인 직업 선택을 위한 교육 프로그램의 지원이 필요하다. 둘째, 직업 선택에 따른 필수 자격증 취득, 실습 및 자격증 취득에 따른 취업 연계 프로그램에 대한 장기적인 지원이 필요하다. 셋째, 보호종료아동의 취업 준비를 위해서는 경제적 심리적정서적 사회적으로 지원 가능한 자립형 그룹홈 시설의 확충이 필요하다. 넷째, 직장 내에서 보호종료아동에 대한 이해외 인식을 높이기 위한 인식개선 교육이 필요하다. 다섯째, 일상생활 및 직장 내 예절 교육이 필요하다. 마지막으로 보호종료아동에게 사회·정서적 지지체계가되는 생활지도원의 진로에 대한 적극적인 진로교육 및 진로상담이 퇴소 전부터 이루어져야 한다. 이러한 연구 결과를 근거로 하여 보호종료아동이 취업 과정에서 겪는 어려움을 해소하는데 유용한 자료로 활용 될 수 있는 있을 것으로 기대한다. 또한 보호종료아동이 사회에 건강한 구성원으로 성장하기 위한 다양한 정책·실천적인 방안을 제시하였다.
This study explored the experiences experienced in the process of preparing for employment as a child with termination of care. To this end, a qualitative study was conducted on 9 people who had experience in employment after the end of protection. As a result of the analysis, 8 main categories and 24 subcategories are derived, and the results of the study are as follows. First, it is necessary to support educational programs for practical job selection before and after discharge. Second, it is necessary to provide long-term support for employment-linked programs according to job selection, practice, and acquisition of qualifications. Third, in order to prepare for employment of children who are terminated from care, it is necessary to expand the facilities of self-reliant group homes that can be supported economically, psychologically and socially. Fourth, awareness improvement education is needed to raise awareness of children who are terminated from care in the workplace. Fifth, there is a need for education that must be observed in the workplace and manners used in daily life. Finally, active career education and career counseling on the career path of life instructors, which is a social and emotional support system for children who have completed protection, should be conducted even before they are discharged. Based on these research results, it is expected that it can be used as useful data to solve the difficulties that children with termination of care experience in the employment process. In addition, various policies and practical measures were proposed for the terminated child to grow into a healthy member of society.
