A Study on the Relation between <Chuiseongru> and <Mongok ssangbongyeonrok>

<취승루>는 소창 가문 자손의 결연을 다루고 있는 30권 30책의 국문장편소설이지만, 국적을 증명하는 과정에서 <구운몽>과의 유사한 부분만 언급되었을 뿐 조선시대 장편소설과의 상호 관계가 충분히 논의되지 않았다. 이에 이 글은 ‘안남왕비’ 수용을 중심으로 <취승루>와 <몽옥쌍봉연록> 연작의 관련성을 밝히고자 시도되었다. <취승루>에는 전후 소개 없이 곽분양의 딸 ‘안남왕비’를 초대하는 장면이 있는데, 이를 독서의 맥락에서 수용한 것으로 보고, ‘안남왕비’가 나타나는 조선시대 장편소설을 압축해 <몽옥쌍봉연록> 연작을 논의의 대상으로 설정했다. 이들을 대상으로 소설의 구성요소인 배경, 인물, 사건 등을 기준으로 삼아 그 교섭양상을 비교해 보았다. 그 결과 <취승루>와 <몽옥쌍봉연록> 연작은 당나라 대종과 덕종 황제의 재위기간을 서사적 배경으로 설정해 곽분양 가문의 인물을 수용하고, 주인공 가문과 곽분양 가문의 결연을 주요한 사건으로 전개하는 공통점을 지니고 있었다. 또한, 이들 작품의 공통점을 살피는 과정에서 서사적 장치를 설정하는 방식이 유사하게 나타나는 지점도 포착할 수 있었다. 이러한 양상을 기반으로 <취승루>와 <몽옥쌍봉연록> 연작의 상호 관련성을 증명하며, <취승루>가 조선시대 장편소설의 관계망 속에서 창작된 작품이라는 점을 밝혔고, 이들의 관계를 파생작으로 보았다.

<Chuiseongru> is a 30-volume Korean novel dealing with the relationship of the Sochang family, but in the process of proving nationality, only similar parts to <Ku-un-mong> were mentioned, and the interrelationship with the Joseon Dynasty's feature novel was not sufficiently discussed. So this article attempted to clarify the relationship between the series of <Chuiseongru> and <Mongok ssangbongyeonrok>, focusing on the acceptance of Queen Annam. In <Chuiseongru>, there is a scene where Queen Annam, Kwak Bun-yang's daughter, is invited without introduction before and after the narrative, which was accepted in the context of reading, and a compressed Joseon Dynasty novel featuring Queen Annam was set as a subject of discussion. For them, the negotiation patterns were compared based on the background, characters, and events, which are the components of the novel. As a result, the series of <Chuiseongru> and <Mongok ssangbongyeonrok> had something in common that the reign of King Daejong and Emperor Deokjong of the Tang Dynasty was set as epic backgrounds to accommodate the characters of the Kwakbunyang family, and the relationship between the main character's family and the Kwakbunyang family was a major event. In addition, in the process of examining the commonalities of these works, it was possible to capture the point where the method of setting up narrative devices appeared similarly. Based on this aspect, the interrelationship between the series of <Chuiseongru> and <Mongok ssangbongyeonrok> was proved, and it was revealed that <Chuiseongru> was created in the relationship network of feature novel of the Joseon Dynasty, and their relationship was viewed as a derivative.
