본 연구의 목적은 프랑스 학업중단 예방정책 사례를 통해 한국에 주는 시사점을 밝히는 데 있다. 이를 위해 프랑스 파리 인근 센느-생-드니 교육청 소속 가브리엘 페리 직업고등학교와 피에르 드 론사 중학교의 학업중단 예방정책의 실태와 양상에 대한 질적 연구를 시도하였다. 연구를 통해 밝힌 프랑스 학업중단 예방정책의 성공요인은 첫째, 학업중단 예방프로그램이 학교-지역사회 간 교육협업을 통해 지역 교육안전망이 효율적으로 활성화되어 있고, 둘째, 인적자원의 다양성과 교육전문가의 적절한 역할배분, 학생과 현장중심의 자율적인 시스템이 갖춰져 있으며, 셋째, 학교와 학교 밖 의사소통의 개방성과 함께, 넷째, 이를 통해 정책수혜자 중심의 통합적 지원체계인 원스톱 서비스가 기능하고 있다는 점이다. 그러나 프랑스 역시 교육전문교원의 양성체제 정비와 함께 이들의 전문성 개발을 위한 체계적인 교육 및 연수체제를 확대할 필요가 있음을 제시하였다.
The purpose of this study is to look into the school dropout prevention policy in France and try to draw implications for the Korean educational policy. For this study, all the focus groups and in-depth interviews were executed with teachers and the people in charge of Gabriel Peri high school, Pierre de Ronsard middle school, and the Saint-Seine-Denis local 'Academie'. The success factors of the school dropout prevention policy in France were as follows. Firstly, the school dropout prevention programs in France were based on the school-local community’s cooperation which invigorates the educational networking system. Secondly, it’s about the diversity of human resources in the school field, the role assignment of educational experts that leads to a fully autonomous pedagogical system. Thirdly, the openness of communication networking in and out of school is a key factor as well. Fourthly, the one-stop service that is integrated within the educational safety system for policy beneficiaries. However, the lack of training program systems for the educational experts who work in the school area remains a central issue in France though.
