본 연구는 윤동주와 유치환 시의 관계성을 해명한다. 윤동주와 유치환의 접점은 우선 연희전문에서 선후배 사이였다는 점과 유년 시절 유교와 기독교적 분위기를 동시에 경험했다는 점이다. 윤동주는 『박용철 전집』 1권을 장서로 소유하고 있었고, 유치환도 박용철이 주관하는 『문예월간』을 통해 문단에 진출한 바가 있었다. 또한 이들 모두는 박용철을 접점으로 키르케고르를 탐독하며 자신의 종교관을 형성해나갔다. 그리고 윤동주와 유치환 모두 정지용 시와 이미지즘에 영향을 받았다는 점 또한 거론될 수 있다. 특히 윤동주는 동시대의 시인들의 작품을 모아 ‘학예 스크랩북’을 제작했는데, 여기에 유치환의 시 「風習」이 두 번째 목록으로 배치되고 있다. 이는 윤동주가 중요도에 따라 작품 순서를 정했다는 것을 가늠해볼 때, 유치환의 「風習」은 윤동주의 신앙 회의기 이후의 시편에 깊은 영향을 끼쳤을 것으로 판단된다. 이에 본 논문은 윤동주와 유치환이 함께 읽었던 키르케고르와 종교적 실존에 관해 해명하는 동시에, 윤동주의 「序詩」, 「별헤는밤」, 「돌아와보는밤」 등에서 엿보이는 유치환 시의 전유 양상을 검토해볼 것이다. 이를 통해 윤동주가 당대 신진 그룹의 경향을 수용하고, 자신의 시 세계를 성장시키는 밑거름을 마련해 나갔던 점을 해명할 수 있다.
This study explains the relation between Yoon Dong-ju and Yoo Chihwan’s poetry. The first interaction between Yoon Dong-Ju and Yoo Chihwan occurred when they attended the same school, Yeon Hee Jeon Moon (now the Yonsei University) as seniors and juniors. The two of them have a similar background of Confucianism and Christianity since childhood. Yoon Dong-Ju collected the very first book of “Park Yongchul's Complete Works”, and Yoo Chihwan also entered the literary circle through “Monthly Literature and Arts” which was authorized by Park Yongchul. In addition, they formed their view of religion by sharing the contact with Park Yongchul with avidly read Søren Kierkegaard. Also, the fact that Yoon Dong-Ju and Yoo Chihwan both were influenced by Jung Jiyong and Imagism can be a point of discussion. In particular, Yoon Dong-Ju published the “The liberal Arts, Scrap Book” which collected the works of contemporary poets, including Yoo Chihwan's poem, ‘Customs’, which is placed secondly on the list. In the sense of proportion that Yoon Dong-Ju decided the order of the works according to their principal, it is discussed that Yoo Chihwan's ‘Customs’ had a deep influence on the poetry section at Yoon Dong-Ju's Post religion skepticism phase. Therefore, While reviewing the exclusive aspects of Yoo Chihwan's poems seen in Yoon Dong-Ju's ‘Prelude’, ‘A Night of Counting Stars’, ‘The Night Looking the Retuning’s’, this paper will study the religious existence of Søren Kierkegaard, which was both well-read by Yoon Dong-Ju and Yoo Chihwan. Through this, the fact that Yoon Dong-Ju accepted the new trends of the rising groups of his time and laid the foundation to advance his poetic world can be explained.
